Her part in the plan had been simple. Distract everyone, leave. The worst part was the waiting. Cheyenne sighed as she waited in the meeting spot for Flynn to get her ass out there with the dead man. The car was parked and she was waiting outside leaning against the car. She had brought a change of clothes with her, seeing as it was still winter and she had been wearing a tiny dress and heels. Now she was wearing Uggs with her jeans tucked in and a sweatshirt that was hanging off of her left shoulder. She was comfortable, and much warmer than she had been. She had even pulled her curly hair up into a ponytail as she waited for her sisters crushes sexy best friend to get her cute butt out there.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, she saw Flynn emerge with the cart. "'Bout damn time." She mumbled under her breath as her folded arms slid down to her sides and she pushed off the side of the car. She went to the trunk, or rather the hood, and opened it up, pulling Flynn's bag out, and also making room for the skeleton. As cute as this car was, it wasn't exactly practical. It was tiny! Sure, it made for easy city driving, and parking was always a breeze since they could fit into tight spots, but it was cramped and you couldn't exactly fit much into it.
"So my plan worked?" She called out as Flynn got closer, now leaning on the front of the car a little. "That was way too easy. I take it Claire and Griffin got out okay." She licked her lips and looked around before moving her arm in a circular motion, trying to tell the other girl to hurry up. "C'mon, it's cold and we gotta get out of here!"

Flynn hurried to get the cart over to the car and briskly nodded to Cheyenne as a means to reply to the girl. She wanted to be sure to get the bones into the trunk and head to Megsy Isle before anyone noticed that the bones had in fact been stolen. She stopped the cart right in front of Cheyenne and lifted the cloth that was slung over it which concealed the bones from view.
"They're awfully heavy I think. It took both Griffin and Claire to get them out of the case." She told Cheyenne trying to stay polite although she was rushing at the same time. She bent her knees and reached in to grab hold of the bones around the torso and heaving it up.
"Oh my!" She said and nearly fell backwards into the car from the weight of the skeleton. The Avisaille bones were lighter than a human's since they were hollowed out, but they were still quite heavy! Flynn couldn't possibly pick up half of a human skeleton!
She slid her side into the trunk and took a step back to be sure she was out of the way and waited to see if Cheyenne could manage to get the bottom half of the skeleton in the trunk or not. "Do you have a blanket or something we can use to cover them up perhaps?"
Flynn was already unbuttoning the jacket that went with the suit that she had to wear as part of the catering staff and shrugged it off. She had on a white button up shirt underneath that and two cotton tank tops under that still! She unbuttoned the white shirt and shrugged that off as well, glancing over her shoulders to be sure that the holster which kept her wings contained wasn't showing. She noticed it a bit out of the side that was furthest from Cheyenne and she quickly readjusted the straps to one of her tank tops.
She had specifically asked if they could put a bag in the car for her. She didn't want to be stuck in those clothes while at Megsy Isle, but she knew she couldn't just outright change either. So she'd been sure to double up on clothes. She walked around to the passenger side and reached for her bag, unzipping it and pulling out a blue and yellow flannel button up shirt which she stuck her arms through and kept unbuttoned. It was much more comfortable than the suit! She was going to change her pants while in the car, hoping that Cheyenne wouldn't mind too much.
She pushed her bag down to the floor in front of the passenger seat and then jumped in so that when Cheyenne was ready to go she would be as well. The last thing she wanted to do was hold them up! Flynn made sure to stuff the other articles of clothing into the bag, trying to stuff them closer to the bottom. The bag was already full, filled with a few items she deemed necessary for a proper funeral for the Avisaille.
"How long until they know that the skeleton is gone?" She asked hurriedly and looked to Cheyenne with wondering eyes. Flynn certainly hoped it wouldn't be until they were long gone.

Cheyenne was catty. There was a part of her that just really didn't like this girl that much. She was sweet, naive and innocent and she was best friends with the guy her sister was trying to mack on, which meant trouble. Flynn was hot. She was too sexy for the personality she had, in Chey's opinion. They should be rivals, but they weren't. Chey knew she cold outslut this slut in a heartbeat because Flynn just didn't have what it took. She thought all of this while the girl attempted to pull the damn skeleton into the trunk, which Cheyenne helped her with after a moment of watching her struggle. They needed to get a move on, and she obviously couldn't lift the thing on her own. Flynn was right though; it was heavy.
When Flynn asked for a blanket, Chey looked around and grabbed an old towel from the summer that had been festering there in the trunk, and tossed it over the remains. The towel stunk of rotten beach, but it would do. "There." She said tossing her hands on her hips and checking out her weird handy work. A limb stuck out here and there, but it would work just fine. It would have to!
She slammed the trunk shut and slid into the drivers seat, looking over at Flynn for a second before pushing the gear into drive. She focused on driving, wanting to talk, but not wanting to talk to this girl, unless of course she was interrogating her on her sisters behalf. But the silence didn't last long. "How long until they know that the skeleton is gone?" How the hell was Cheyenne supposed to know that? The girl refrained from rolling her eyes.
"Well, with any luck I have everyone in such a frenzy that it will be a good 20 minutes before anyone is in the museum even looking around. I say it should be thirty minutes to an hour before they realize Jack's missing." She turned onto Spruce and heard sirens in the distance. "And there's the fire department." She said with a smirk, looking in her rear view mirror. Her lie of sight moved to Flynn again, watching her out of the corner of her eyes as she continued to dive towards Megsy Isle.
"So..." She said relaxing into her seat. "Griffin. You two, uhh... yah know." She stuck her tongue out and then shifted in her seat. "You guys fuck or what?"

After she was comfortably into a pair of jeans and not the itchy slacks that had been necessary for her role, Flynn pulled down the seat belt and buckled herself in while Cheyenne drove away from the museum. She looked out the window and wondered if it would be as long as Cheyenne said before they learn of the skeleton's disappearance. Then Cheyenne called the deceased by a name and Flynn looked at her curiously.
"Jack?" She asked but right after she uttered the name it hit her that Cheyenne just wanted to have something to call it for an easy reference, not to mention Jack had been the name of a skeleton in a Halloween movie and Flynn offered a nervous little chuckle. "Oh. Jack.. I just got it."
She didn't know why but she got the feeling that Cheyenne would rather have someone else there with her in the car. Her sister perhaps? It might have just been her because she was a little on edge.
"Griffin. You two, uhh... yah know."
"Yes?" Flynn asked and turned to look at Cheyenne once more, waiting to see what she wanted to say. Only she hadn't expected the next part that the girl uttered.
"You guys fuck or what?"
Flynn was at a loss for words! She was so thrown that she just sat there and blinked a few times at Cheyenne with her mouth open before she realized that she was suppose to respond. Which in turn caused her to blink several more times as she tried to figure out the proper words. "N-no."
She shook her head to confirm the hesitant little word that she said and knew it probably didn't sound too assuring. So she decided to try again and even laughed a little before she spoke, this time a little more relaxed. "We're long time friends. I could never think of him as anything more than a friend. And it's the same way for him."
Flynn wasn't sure why Cheyenne was asking about it, maybe Cheyenne had taken a liking to Griffin and wanted to be sure that Flynn wasn't seeing him? Or perhaps it was just friendly conversation. "Are you spoken for? Or would you like me to have a little chat with Griffin for you?" She asked and her smile grew even brighter. It would be good for Griffin to meet someone! Although she started to think about how protective Griffin was of Cheyenne's sister, Claire. And it made her wonder if it would be a good idea for Cheyenne to like Griffin or not.

They very way she said no made Cheyenne actually believe she wasn't screwing around with the hotty. That was good for Claire. It was never good news when boys had female friends. Girls sucked and there were always underlying feelings with one of them. Rarely were both parties uninterested in a hookup. Cheyenne had loads of guys friends, but she knew most of them wouldn't mind taking her to bed. Others wouldn't bother, but it was probably because they didn't want to make things awkward. Or at least that's what Cheyenne figured. In her mind she couldn't imagine anyone she hung around not wanting a piece of her. She was just that full of herself.
"Are you spoken for? Or would you like me to have a little chat with Griffin for you?" Cheyenne made a face of mild disgust. Who spoke like that? Who asked if you were spoken for? "Oh God no!" She said a little too quickly, not even considering at the moment that she might be putting Griffin down.
"I mean, no offense. Griff seems like a stand up guy and all, but me and Griffin? Never would happen." She shook her head. Of course she would show him a thing or two in the bedroom, but personality wise they didn't click and never would. Plus there was that whole little sister/crush thing going on with Claire. He was way off limits anyway.
"No. I ask because...what do you think of Griffin and Claire?" She asked and turned her head for a second as she ran through a yellow light towards the Isle. "Look, Claire's not like me. She's neurotic and a little hyperactive. She's a good girl and Griffin seems like a pretty laid back guy and apparently at work, or so I gather, he brings out a calm side of her. She needs that. No, what I want to do is hook him up with my sister. What do you think of that? Can we make that happen or has he slipped to you that he's just not into the whole dating Claire thing. I mean, she is a whack job, but she's an awesome one." She shot another quick glance at Flynn and then the road again. "Oh, and this stays right here. Don't you go running off an telling Griffin. I'll know if you did."

"No. I ask because...what do you think of Griffin and Claire?"
Flynn's eyes didn't leave Cheyenne once they were leaving the lights and the city behind, leaving just dark empty road between them and the beach they were heading for with the skeleton tucked in front of them in the trunk. Cheyenne continued to tell her - no, ask her what she thought about her sister and Flynn's friend together. It was true she had even seen a little spark between the two of them that wasn't very common in her opinion with Griffin. As friendly and easy going as Griffin could be, he had the tendency to shy away from relationships for quite obvious reasons. At least they were obvious to Flynn.
"He's very protective of your sister." Flynn started off saying right away, and it was true. "When you both were coming over for dinner the other night he told me repeatedly that Claire was different. It was odd. Your sister is different, but it's not a bad different. It's actually quite the opposite." She didn't want to make it sound like she was putting Claire down, because she wasn't! Claire had the tendency to ramble on and on but it wasn't necessarily a bad thing. And she didn't see why anyone felt the need to label her with a warning.
"The way he acts around her is different than he does around other friends. It's sweet how he looks after her."
Flynn reached down to her bag and pushed it out of her way with her feet gently but it only caused it to roll on top of her foot more and she left it as it was.
"I can't speak for Griffin, but I can see that he cares for Claire. I'm just unsure if it's on a dating level or not." Flynn would love to see Griffin date someone! From what she could recall it had been ages since he'd seen someone! Flynn herself hadn't gone on a date in quite a long time herself. It was just so hard for their kind to date, especially anything that could turn serious.

Protective...she knew that. Cheyenne could easily tell how protective Griffin seemed to be at their dinner party. It wasn't protective in the same sense that men were protective over her. His protection wasn't one of brawn but brains. He didn't allow Claire to pretend he was Frank that night, not because he didn't know how Frank acted like he claimed. She knew it was because everyone knew it would embarrass Claire, and he wasn't about to let her embarrass herself. He had protected Claire from her. But that didn't mean anything. Griffin seemed like the kind of guy who was protect anyone in any way he could.
As for Claire being different, well, she was. She was different in so many ways. Cheyenne wasn't offended that neither Griffin or Flynn thought that Claire was "different". It would be like being angry the grass was green or the sky was blue. It just simply was.
"The way he acts around her is different than he does around other friends. It's sweet how he looks after her." Now that was what Cheyenne wanted to hear. "Reeeally..." She said with interest, flashing a glance over towards the other girl. Perhaps there was someone for everyone, after all. "I can't speak for Griffin, but I can see that he cares for Claire. I'm just unsure if it's on a dating level or not."
Now that wasn't what she expected to hear or wanted to hear. A part of her felt led on and a little annoyed by this news. Why on earth would Griffin act differently with Claire than with other friends if it wasn't because he wanted to do dirty things to her? Or maybe that was it! Maybe he had those dirty thoughts and didn't know what to do about it! That didn't make sense at all, Cheyenne decided.
Then why? "So, what you're saying is basically she's got no chance in hell landing Griffin?" Chey asked raising a brow. "That they're pretty much just BFF's?" Her eyes remained on the road and she sighed shaking her head. "What about fuck buddies? I need to get my sister laid." Chey realized almost immediately that she wasn't just talking to anyone. She was talking to Flynn. "Sorry, uh... yeah that was probably weird to ask you."

"So, what you're saying is basically she's got no chance in hell landing Griffin?"
Flynn turned sideways in her seat so she could face Cheyenne and opened her mouth to say something but the blonde wasn't finished speaking just yet.
"What about fuck buddies? I need to get my sister laid."
Her eyes widened a bit with surprise and she watched Cheyenne with silence. Flynn was much older than the other girl, although she looked to be close to the same age in appearance. When she had actually been in her early twenties women were a little less blunt and not as vulgar. Or maybe that was just the ones that Flynn had always been around. Either way it wasn't that she was offended, she was just surprised.
"It's okay. I just think I didn't explain it right. It's not her, it's just that Griffin doesn't really.. date. Or at least he hasn't in a long time. Commitment I think is hard for him. That's what I meant." She hoped that sounded a little better. And being "sleeping" buddies definitely wasn't something she could see Griffin doing. Mainly because he had wings and that would be a big surprise in the bedroom. Unless he told Claire about them which she wondered if that was even an option for him.
"And I think the weirdest part was you saying you need to get her in bed with someone." Flynn actually had to laugh at this, thinking it was just so strange that a sister would care about whether her sibling was sleeping with someone or not.
"Oh look!" Flynn looked out the window and pointed towards a yellow sign on the side of the road that they were coming up to. "We're almost there!"

When Flynn explained that Griffin didn't date it got the wheels in Cheyenne's head turning. Griffin didn't date...yet. She could hook them up somehow! It wouldn't be that hard to do. Cheyenne could set up a date. Maybe even another little get together like they'd had a few nights ago and then just forget to show up. If Flynn was cool enough maybe she would tag along with the idea, but Cheyenne wasn't entirely sure she could trust Flynn yet, and she didn't know if she would keep this from Griffin.
"And I think the weirdest part was you saying you need to get her in bed with someone." Cheyenne couldn't stop from smirking a little at the statement. She understood some girls weren't accustomed to her crude and vulgar way of explaining things. Chey liked getting right to the point, and sex was sex; dirty, wild, spontaneous... if it weren't all those things then it wasn't worth anyone's time in her opinion. She had commitment issues, but Griffin shouldn't, not unless he was seeking dirty, wild, spontaneous sex which Cheyenne had a feeling he wasn't considering Flynn's obvious unease of her throwing it all around so casually. They obviously weren't those kind of people.
Maybe Flynn wasn't that bad. Maybe she was cool... a little dorky considering her hot body, but cool. Maybe. Cheyenne turned onto the next road which would lead them straight towards the cliffs at Megsy Isle. "Okay, so Griffin isn't the commitment type. Maybe...we could just convince him that dating Claire would be a good idea. I mean...she's a sweet girl. Different. In a good way, you said so yourself and despite her quirks.. Her many, many quirks, she's still a pretty cool chick once you push all those layers of crazy aside. I think Griffin would rethink that no commitment crap once he had a good friend tell him a certain girl was worth it. Unless... you're not interested in doing that with me." Cheyenne sighed and then thought for a moment. Flynn seemed a little whimsical and she decided to go out on a limb and try a new tactic. "What if they were meant to be, yah know? What if Claire was Griffin's happily ever after? We could make true love happen here.."

If there were anything that Flynn believed in, it was true love. Her love for Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet only encouraged it. The thought of two star crossed lovers who gave up their lives for love was beautiful. Flynn was a total sucker for a romance novel and had been a hopeless romantic all her life.
So when Cheyenne spoke about Griffin and Claire being meant for one another she couldn't just pass up the idea. What if it were true? Love came in all shapes and sizes, even if Griffin was an Avisaille. Why couldn't he have true love like in the fairy tales?
Flynn gave a soft little laugh and shook her head, leaning against the passenger door since she was still sitting sideways in her seat. She reached behind her back to feel the lock and be sure the door wasn't unlocked, wanting to be safe! "Claire is lovely. She is nice and sweet, and they get along well enough." Flynn said just confirming what Cheyenne had already said.
She pondered the idea, understanding what the other female was getting at. It was apparent that Cheyenne was trying to persuade Flynn to talk to Griffin and set up a date between him and Cheyenne's sister.
"I don't know how much influence I may have, but if you want me to talk to him then I'd be glad to. I can't say no to helping two people find love. You got me." Flynn smiled brightly and then turned in her seat so she was facing forward once more.
She wanted to make sure they went someplace nice and there was a lovely ledge that Flynn herself had flown off of on windy days. It was the very ledge she had been taught how to fly when she was just a little girl.
"Do you know the dirt path that winds up with the split boulder?" Flynn asked Cheyenne, hoping that she would know where it was. The path was a little more beaten since it held one of the best views.
"I think that would be a nice spot for our farewells to our friend."

Claire was lovely, nice and sweet, but Cheyenne did find it odd that Flynn said those things. She talked like her grandmother. Actually, she talked more like she remembered her great grandmother sounding. She tried not to judge Flynn too much. It wasn't her fault she sounded like a little old biddy!
"I don't know how much influence I may have, but if you want me to talk to him then I'd be glad to." The smile that slid over Cheyenne's lips were one of victory! It was as if she won some sort of contest by getting Flynn to agree to do this!
"I think you should. I think for their sake they need a little divine intervention, and that's exactly what we are." She knew it didn't exactly work that way, but Claire needed help. Lots of help, and Cheyenne wasn't equipped to be able to help her alone. She needed saving from herself, and she could definitely try and instigate a relationship, but she would inevitably screw it up like she did everything else. But if the boy she liked showed signs in return then it would make Claire's task less difficult. Claire needed someone. Cheyenne loved her sister and would always be there for her, but she was tired of being the only person in her sisters life that would stand beside her. Cheyenne had her own life to attend to!
When Flynn asked if she knew the dirt path she nodded. "Yeah, I can go up that way." She was feeling almost chummy with Flynn now, who was a sort of accomplice in her plan to better her sisters life. "And those bones aren't our friends, honey." She said with a laugh. "It's just a skeleton. With wings." Cheyenne knew it was a Guardian but she couldn't say that. She was interested in getting a nice good look when they got there, though. She made the turn onto the dirt road, their trip almost complete. "Makes you almost believe the stories are true, huh?" She teased and shook her head. The stories were true. The lioness inside her said so.

"Griffin said he needed to talk to me later this evening anyway, so I'll bring it up when we talk later on." Flynn offered to Cheyenne. She could see the smile on Cheyenne's face so it was clearly that was what the girl had wanted Flynn to say. She didn't mind speaking to Griffin about it either. They had been friends for quite some time and Griffin deserved happiness and love in his life. Even if he gave off the impression that he didn't think so.
"And those bones aren't our friends, honey."
Cheyenne seemed like the sort of person who didn't like to become attached to objects, or other people for that matter. At least that was Flynn's perception of the other female. She was nice and polite when she wanted or needed to be but she didn't attach herself to anything. Flynn thought it to be a little sad and she began to feel bad for the girl, although she didn't say that.
"Makes you almost believe the stories are true, huh?"
Flynn gave a warm smile and she nodded her head as if she were agreeing with Cheyenne. "Maybe he was a friend. And if the stories were true, then it would make perfect sense. They live among us, so who's to say that some of our closest friends couldn't be Guardians?" She paused to see if she could let that sink in for a moment but then she decided to break the silence again.
"Wouldn't that be something? If it were true?" Flynn knew that it was true. She also knew that was the skeleton of one of her fallen brothers. She didn't have to examine it too close to know it. That's when she decided to bring something else up since they had just been on the topic of Griffin and Claire.
"Your sister said something to the bones when we were loading it onto the cart back in the museum. She called it something.. it sounded like it started with an 'A'? Do you know what she called it?" Flynn had thought she heard Claire call the skeleton an Avisaille, which wasn't a name that was thrown around unless you were a Guardian yourself. So she decided to question Cheyenne as if it were no big deal. Perhaps she would know and put Flynn's mind at ease.

"And if the stories were true, then it would make perfect sense. They live among us, so who's to say that some of our closest friends couldn't be Guardians?" She gave a quick suspicious glimpse out of the corner of her eye in her passengers direction. "Yeah.." She offered, giving off the impression that maybe she thought what Flynn had said was nuts but in reality what she was thinking was how spot on this wacko was.
She wondered if maybe Flynn knew more than she led on. The whole kidnapping the skeleton thing had seemed a little off from the get go to Cheyenne. Was it possible they were Guardians? She wished it wasn't such a huge secret. She would have liked nothing more than to flaunt what she was to people. Someone pissed her off? She could just shift and come at them! Life would be simpler, especially on a full moon. The city would be crawling with all sorts of wildlife then, though! It would be quite the sight.
When Flynn mentioned Claire saying something about the Avisaille, she licked her lips and did a quick glance at the other girl before focusing on the road. "She called the skeleton something?" She asked, knowing she would have to lay into her idiot sister for not keeping the secret better. Claire sucked so hard sometimes at life that it made Cheyenne angry.
"She probably gave him a name like...Avery or something. She likes that name." It sounded close enough to Avisaille that maybe Flynn would buy it. "Claire's always been like that. Naming stuff that doesn't need names. Like this one time when we were kids she named the bird in my moms cuckoo clock Cooper because he used to pop out and go COOCOO! To her it sounded like he was saying a name or something."
She stopped the care where Flynn had suggested and pushed it into park, looking in the other girls direction. "Why do you ask?"

When Cheyenne explained that Claire liked to give names to items then Flynn decided that was probably the real explanation for what she had heard. She didn't figure Claire or Cheyenne to be Avisaille themselves but their reasoning for helping out still puzzled her. Of course, Cheyenne was only helping because Claire wanted to do it. And Claire just seemed to genuinely like the myths and wanted them to stay that way for future generations. It made sense in its own way.
"I was just curious. I didn't know what it was she was saying and it only seemed odd." Flynn explained simply. She couldn't very well tell Cheyenne that it sounded as if her sister called the skeleton an Avisaille, which he definitely was.
When they reached the spot where Flynn had asked for them to go to she gathered up her bag and slung it over her shoulder when she opened her door and stepped out of the car. She went around to the front where the trunk was located and once it was unlocked she opened it up to take a look inside. Before touching it though she looked around in the dark trying to find an exact spot to place it before they bothered getting it out. It was heavy after all!
Flynn left the hood of the trunk up and walked away from the vehicle towards the ledge of the cliff that they were on and dropped her bag to the ground. Crouching over it she unzipped it once more and stuck her hand inside to feel around for what she needed. When she felt the fabric she began to pull and a large white fabric that looked almost like a silky sheet came out of her bag. She began to lay it out on the ground near the edge and then went into her bag again for some rope that she had stuffed in their earlier, which she set to the side next to the fabric.
Getting back to her feet she left the bag, the rope and the fabric on the dirt floor. She headed back over towards the car and she reached into the trunk to pull on the feet of the skeleton. "Okay, to be sure this burns easier we can wrap it up." Flynn told Cheyenne almost like she had done this before. Although they couldn't give the Avisaille a true burial they could at least wrap it up in a manner that was loosely similar.
Hoisting the legs of the skeleton out of the trunk and with the help of Cheyenne, Flynn guided it towards the white cloth and slowly started to kneel to the ground to make it easier to set it down. She didn't want to cause too much harm to it if at all possible. "There we go. Nice and easy.."
Once the skeleton was on the fabric Flynn started to wrap it up gingerly and then began to wrap the rope around it to keep the material in place. It must have taken Flynn a good fifteen minutes to get it done and although it was nice and cool out so close to the water, Flynn was beginning to sweat.
"Whew!" Flynn exclaimed and got up to her feet when she was satisfied with her binding job and wiped her forehead with the back of her hand and then dried it on her jeans.
"That should do it. We have the right equipment to light it, don't we?" Flynn asked Cheyenne and waited patiently for a reply. She thought about gathering a few flowers to tuck into the rope, but figured that might be a little too much and she didn't think that Cheyenne would like to stand around and wait for her to go gather daisies. Although they did have a little bit of time before the other pair arrived.
"Should we call Griffin and Claire to make sure they're on their way? I do hope they got out of there safely. Was there really a fire or was it something else?" She realized that she hadn't asked Cheyenne what had happened at the museum. She'd heard the girl yell fire but she had gone out the back exit so she didn't see what happened exactly.

Again Cheyenne wondered why Flynn had been curious about the name, but the excuse she had come up with seemed sufficient enough to get her to accept it and move on.
When Flynn got out, Cheyenne followed her keeping quiet. She hated awkward silences, but it wasn't that awkward if they had nothing to say after they had already talked for a while. She didn't know what else to say to Flynn, and anything regarding the Avisaille seemed to bring up more questions from Flynn so she just kept her trap shut. When the other girl popped her trunk she looked down at the bones for the first time, reaching in and moving the towel away.
It looked like a skeleton. Everything about it said human, except there on its back, extending from the shoulder blades, were joints that were on no other human being. She had never met an Avisaille herself. No knowingly, anyway. It was fascinating to see how it all connected. It looked similar to a birds wing joints but on the mans back. She couldn't help herself as she reached in and touched the bones, letting her hand glide delicately over the surface as if she could somehow break it. "I can't believe you actually exist." She told him as if he could answer. She knew the Guardian stories were real. She was living proof, but there had never been proof of an Avisaille before. Never had bones like this been found, and by the looks of it, they were real.
When Flynn came back, she pulled her hand away from the skeleton and turned to the other girl who began to give orders. Well, sort of orders. She aided the girl in lifting the skeleton up and bringing it to the fabric that she had intended to wrap it in. She seemed very prepared,a s if she knew exactly what she was doing, which was a little odd to Cheyenne.
She helped Flynn wrap the body up, giving her curious looks now and then, though she didn't say anything. Not yet.
"That should do it. We have the right equipment to light it, don't we?" Cheyenne nodded and folded her arms over her chest. "I have lighter fluid and a box of matches in the car." She explained since Claire told her to bring something to burn it with. Then, to be sure, she had dropped off the lighter fluid and matches herself since apparently Cheyenne couldn't be trusted. She would have remembered! But Cheyenne didn't mind her sister butting in. It made her life easier in the end.
"Nah. There wasn't a fire, I just planted some smoke bombs in one of the exhibits." She explained as she pulled her phone out. "Let me call Claire." The sooner her sister got there, the better! When she heard the other girl answer she moved away from Flynn, the sound of waves crashing in the background. "You two plan on getting your happy asses out here soon or are Flynn and I having this little cookout without you two."
