Hello! Hello! We are now in February and this is our first official newsletter! We will have a newsletter for each month covering numerous topics to keep everyone up to date on all the news including plots, characters, members, upcoming events and so much more! So for starters, I would like to say welcome to February and welcome to the very first issue of the Scriptor Bay Post!
Now let's get down to business, shall we?
The Welcoming Crew
We would like to give a warm welcome to our newest member, Wonton! She has brought in ANASTASIA BENNET to join our wonderful story! Be sure to plot with her HERE.
The Story Thus Far
The Scriptor Bay Museum is hosting a banquet (as it typically does) to show off a brand new piece that will surely bring more people to the museum and thus, make them more money. The banquet is going to be the second Saturday of February*, and you must purchase a ticket to go to this black tie event. Rumor has it that the new display will cause quite a stir in Scriptor Bay. Will you be attending the event?
*NOTE: There is no date that you have to play by or on. It is dated in story time not real time.
Plot of the Month
Love Potion No. 9 - Be sure to look for our plot of the Month for February! A new store will be opening on Peanut Street, Passions, selling all sorts of perfumes! For Valentine's Day they will be hosting a stand outside the store with free samples of their new brand, Love Potion No. 9. Will you be stopping by for a free sample?
The Rules and full plot will be posted soon!
Gossiping Corner
Here you'll find all the juicy rumors and gossip that is being spread through Scriptor Bay! Have a story that you want to share? Hear a dirty rumor whispered in the back of a bar? Send it in to the Scriptor Bay Post by sending a message to none other than the Scriptor Post and it will be featured in the next newsletter. If you don't wish your name to be disclosed then you'll simply be referred to as a source.
Rumor Has It... the new exhibit opening at the museum is supposedly haunted! A source says that the security around the exhibit is going to be extra tight on the night of the revealing banquet.
Did You Hear... A thirty-nine year old woman by the name of Jennifer Jones claims that her seven year old daughter, Abigail Jones, spotted a man from the window of their apartment complex (undisclosed for safety precautions) in the park last week stripping off his clothes in the rain. Ordinarily this wouldn't make the gossip column but little Abigail said it wasn't just an ordinary man, but a man with wings. If you too have a similar story, we'd love to feature it! Pictures are a plus!
And that's all for the Gossiping Corner! Until next time!
New Features And Updates
The Staff of Scriptor Bay have decided to begin an award system, starting later on this month. (Coding needs to be done, icons made, etc.) The award system will be featured in the March issue with information on how to earn the awards and where they'll be placed!
Another new addition is the In Character chatbox, located in a peek-a-boo side bar found on the left of the forum. You will see the words "CHARACTER CBOX" in blue, where you can click and an IC CBox will pop up for your use. Just be sure to stay in character when you're using it!
We now have a new banner! We feel that the banner should be a symbol of what you will find on the board, and although we do have an awesome Tree of Enlightenment, the tree banner was hardly descriptive enough. Our new one shows both an Avisaille and a Gargoyle, a mixture of light and dark in the background and a clock to symbolize the time they have - or don't have depending on how you like to look at it.
Any questions, suggestions or concerns can be referred to Whiskey or Cupcake, as always.
Riddle Of The Month
Because who doesn't like a riddle? If you know the answer, reply with it! If nobody gets it correct the answer will be given in the next issue.
Riddle - I am the beginning of the end, and the end of time and space. I am essential to creation, and I surround every place. What am I?
