"Then let's stay here and have a party. What do you say?" Who the hell did this guy think he was? Why would he want to get to know her if they were going to work together? Maybe he was just trying to butter her up again? Maybe he thought if she liked him the job would be his. He must really want to work in the overly pink store. That, or he had other motives. Aly tried to think of what they were, but then he opened his stupid mouth again. "What's the matter, you're too stuck up to spend time with someone like me?"
She was starting to like him less and less with every word he said. Cass didn't need to know he applied. Aly could just shred the application and Cass would never be any the wiser, but she just couldn't! Damn her southern good girl conscience! It didn't matter how far away from the country she got, there would always be a little small town girl in her even if she tried squashing it out like a nasty little cockroach.
Alyson hated cockroaches.
"Now that's a good way to charm someone." She said in a slightly mocking tone, forcing a smile. "Calling them stuck up." Al folded her arms and leaned on the counter to get a good look at the boy. She looked over at the name slot on the application, which was one of maybe three answers he actually bothered filling in, and noticed his name. "Bastian. Now that's not very common." She decided she would play along with him for now. For Cass. Only for Cass. She made a mental note to stop being such a suck up. "You from here? Go to the university? We get a lot of university kids in here trying to get jobs. I'm guilty of it." She figured steering the conversation in a better direction would be key. If he was going to talk it might as well be decent conversation.

Sebastian knew that calling her stuck up or any other sort of names wasn't going to win him over. Not in the least. But his temper always got the best of him when he didn't get his way. Yet it seemed there was still hope yet as her demeanor seemed to change when she asked about his name. Sure, she was sarcastic and even seemed to be mocking him in the way she was smiling but he found it a little.. sexy.
"Sebastian. I was named after the little crab on the Little Mermaid. Have you seen it?" He asked and smirked a little as he said the words, the right side of his mouth moving up in the smirk and his cheek following suit. It was only a joke but he wasn't sure how she would take it. She definitely wasn't in the bimbo category like the girls at the clubs were. She seemed to be in her own category altogether.
"And maybe I wasn't trying to charm you. Perhaps I was simply trying to get to know you. You can't have too many friends." His brows raised and then lowered again as he leaned against the counter with just one elbow so he was only partially facing her and halfway facing the rest of the store.
"You from here? Go to the university? We get a lot of university kids in here trying to get jobs. I'm guilty of it."
Hmm..
He was unsure if he wanted to say he went to college or not. Because then she'd probably be the sort to look him up and see if he was telling the truth or if he had in fact lied to her. And if she decided to tell her friends then it could turn into something bigger than it had to be. The last thing he wanted was for people to try looking for him. If she had been drunk then he'd say whatever he felt like. Not like she'd remember in the morning when she was cradling a hangover. But she was sober and appeared to have enough common sense and smarts to be able to read a person a little better.
"I don't go to school but I am from around here, yes. My sister and I grew up here and after our parents died we couldn't even bear the thought of leaving." Amazingly, most of that had been true. They hadn't left because they were Guardians and they had a perfectly nice little place to live. Was it because of their parent's death? Of course not.
"I'm looking for a job to earn a little extra cash on the side. I've got too much time on my hands and not enough to do with it." He said in a teasing, playful little tone as he swung his body around and faced her completely once again.
"Now what's your story, Goldilocks?"

Al cocked a brow when Bastian claimed he'd been named for the crab in one of her favorite Disney flicks. She knew he was messing with her, but it seemed more playful than mocking. "Well, that certainly explains a lot about you." She offered teasingly, knowing it was a lame burn, but a burn none the less.
She didn't know why guys tended to decide she looked like a good friend to have. And why did they always give the same bullshit line? You could never have enough friends. Alyson disagreed with this full heartedly. you could have enough friends. Some people really only needed one, if that! Alyson was one of them. She didn't need any friends. She recalled a boy earlier that year who fed her the same line in Dylan's Cafe. Either their motives were to get her to be more than friends or she just came off as being the type that could hang around guys easily, which was true. In high school she had loads of guy friends, and could easily fit in the crowd, drinking a beer and cheering on the game. She was definitely one of the guys when she let herself be, but that didn't make her any less girly when the time was meant for her to be so.
His story was sort of sad and she suddenly felt mildly guilty for giving him a hard time. He looked young. Young enough to be going to the university, and to have both parents die? He probably really needed this crappy job to get by. Alyson didn't like to be a sucker for sob stories, but she was a country girl and country girls grew up hearing country music, like it or not, which for the most part were sob stories. She'd heard of plenty of unfortunate incidents in her time and she felt for him. "Sorry." She offered softly, knowing her condolences weren't necessary, but she had learned they were out of respect and you must always offer them.
"Now what's your story, Goldilocks?" Normally this sort of comment would get a snarky response out of her, but she dropped it a little considering what he'd just told her.
"Well, I'm here working on my bachelors. I'm originally from Texas." She held her hand up quickly as if to stop him from talking. "Please, no Texas jokes." She begged slightly, having heard plenty of them. In fact, a boy in one of her classes had come to call her Dallas even though she wasn't from Dallas. Aly found it extraordinarily irritating. "Anyway, I've been in the city for a couple years now. I might actually just stay here after I graduate. Not much of a story to tell." She shrugged as if her life story was boring, which it was. "Came across the shop one day and Cass, the owner, and I hit it off and she offered me a job on the spot. Now it seems I'm the only employee she can rely on. Ergo, me being here all the time, especially late and alone." She said with a little laugh.
"Speaking of jobs. You going to fill out that application?"

Sebastian didn't care about whatever the hell Aly was talking about. He heard something about Texas and he went with that, saying the only thing he could say that wouldn't make it seem like he wasn't listening. "Texas, huh?" And that was all he said while waiting for her to stop talking. She went on and on about living in Scriptor Bay for some time now and how she might end up staying there after she graduated from college.
He got the feeling that she wasn't a night person and that was probably why he'd never run into her before. He'd remember that head of curly blonde hair if he had. He started to think about how he wanted to just grab a fistful of it and pull her head back. There were things he could think of doing that would cause him to pull her hair the way he was thinking. Normally he'd voice it out loud but he assumed she wouldn't go for that. Not sober, anyway.
"Speaking of jobs. You going to fill out that application?"
He stared at her with a little smirk on his face before slowly looking down at the application again. "How much do I really need to fill out?" He was lazy and didn't want to stand there wasting time filling out the stupid application. He picked up the pen again and glanced over a couple of items that he could just check off and began to check them. Like male, and single.
After he checked all the boxes that there were he set the pen down again and let out a huffy little sigh as if he were exhausted. "How about that? I don't have a very long resume, but I have something else." He took a few steps towards the edge of the counter and walked around until he was on the same side as Aly. He put a hand on the front counter and the back one almost like he was blocking that way off for the girl, even though he wasn't being intimidating about it. Not yet, anyway.

"How much do I really need to fill out?" Was he serious? Judging by the look on his face Al knew he was. How could she stand there and let this idiot try and obtain employment there? She felt stuck between a rock and a hard place, knowing Cass wanted a male to work there, but also knowing she wanted a reliable person to work there and it wasn't every day that a guy literally walked off the streets into The Lilly Pad and asked for an application. Especially one as decent looking as this Sebastian guy. But Al knew that if he got the job that Cass would grow annoyed with him and his laziness. He couldn't even be bother to fill out the application. How would he manage working a cash register?! "All of it." She said truthfully in what she hoped was a neutral tone. She didn't need him walking out over this and she felt like she was in a position where she needed to try and please him. It was not what she wanted.
"How about that? I don't have a very long resume, but I have something else." Alyson furrowed her brows curiously and watched him come around the counter, taking a step back, unsure what he was doing. Was he going to rob them? That would be just her luck! Getting robbed! Cass would go berserk, but even Al knew that she would make sure she was okay before going nuts, and not in a mean way. Her boss had enough to deal with without having to worry her store was unsafe.
"How about what?" She asked, unsure what he was doing. "Also, you're not really supposed to be behind the counter. That's sort of an employee thing, and though I'm super stoked that you're interested in being a team member or whatever, you're not quite there yet. My boss wouldn't like if I had people behind the counter." She looked to the left wondering where the hell she had put those scissors she was using earlier? Then she remembered she left them in the back. She inwardly scolded herself. He better not be robbing them!

This was the easy part. This was what Sebastian was great at. He could tell that Aly was trying not to make it seem that she wasn't worried or nervous. But it was all in the little step back that she took. When you got into someone's personal space it was the best way to see just how easy you could bring them into submission. And right now as it stood he definitely held all the power.
"Well to tell you the truth, I'm not interested in a job." He said and took another step towards her in a his best nonchalant way, trying to close the space between the two of them. He could still hear his sister doing whatever it was that she was doing. She could be pressing herself against a window, naked for all he knew. It wouldn't surprise him in the least.
"What I really came here for is a good time. And if you're not planning on going along with it then I'll just have to make it happen myself, won't I?" He asked in a matter of fact tone before he pushed a stapler and a pen holder full of assorted pens off the counter. They went clattering to the floor and caused for a distraction just as he advanced towards Aly, quicker this time.
He reached for her wrist, wanting to grab her and pull her to him. It would be the only way to be sure she wouldn't run. But that was only if he was fast enough to grab her, first.

She didn't like him taking steps closer, and his words struck fear into her heart. If he wasn't there for a job, then he was there for something else. He was going to try and rob the store! She was about to tell him he could take the money and just go when he opened his mouth again and really made her stomach turn. "What I really came here for is a good time. And if you're not planning on going along with it then I'll just have to make it happen myself, won't I?"
The color seemed to drain from her cheeks as she realized what he was after wasn't money at all, but her. She'd been in some bad situations before, but not like this! Hell she'd even been ruffied before and escaped unscathed, but this guy had an accomplice and the store was empty.
When Sebastian knocked the pens off the counter her eyes moved to follow the mess, turning back towards him a second too late as he lunged at her. She let out a scream as his hand wrapped around her wrist, drawing her towards him. "Let go you son of a bitch!" She screamed, grabbing the closest thing to her which happened to be a damn hanger. Stupid hangers! She used it anyway, swinging it at him and attempting to free herself.
"Let GO of me!"

Prestine was growing bored with the store. The things were cute and fun, and she had even slid a few cute things into her pocket, but that aside she was getting tired of looking at the same pink stuff. She was about to tell Sebastian to go when she heard the pens clattering to the ground. She looked to watch her brother advance and grab the girl, who had obviously not cooperated with him while he put the moves on her. Poor thing... Prestine wondered if he would even let her live when he was done with her. It would be a pity to let her die. She seemed nice enough and was cute, that was for sure. But she couldn't help who became a casualty at her brothers hands anymore than he could help who had become one at hers.
Prestine moved to the door and slid the lock in place, flipping the open side around so that people would know the store was closed. "You know, these windows don't hide much." She called to her brother, watching as the blond swung the hanger around. Prestine hoped she would clobber him in the head! That would be fun to watch.
"Do you want me to shut the lights or help you get her in the back?" She asked as if this were some casual encounter they did all the time, ignoring the girl and the obvious terror she was in. "Last thing we need are cops sniffing around. Ugh, that would be such a buzz kill!"

Sebastian always found it amusing when someone told him to let go of them. If he intended on doing that then he wouldn't have grabbed them in the first place. He held the girl close and contemplated what his sister said about going to the back so that they wouldn't be seen through the giant windows. The police would put a damper on things that was a definite.
After some tough consideration he shook his head. "No I've got a better idea." He bent his knees and leaned towards Aly, pressing his shoulder against her torso and hoisting her up over his shoulder. He made sure to tuck his arm right behind her knees to keep her in place and gave her rear end a little playful smack.
"Come on, sister. Let's get this one home before I change my mind. I think I've decided that maybe it's time I keep a pet of my own. Maybe I am ready to settle down. Temporarily." He said it with a bit of a sneer, but then he chuckled as if it were all just good fun and games.
"You're not doing to this one what you did the last. I want to see how long it takes before she breaks on her own." He gave his sister a stern look as if he dared her to defy his wishes this time. This time if she did there would be far more sever consequences. It wouldn't be as simple as just finding someone else for him to mess around with this time.

Her already large eyes went wider when the boys sister began to talk. They couldn't be serious, could they? She was gong to help her brother rape her? Or that's what it seemed he was going to do. These two were nuts! "Get the hell off me, you freak!" She tried pulling free again to no avail. She was downright terrified at this point, though she was trying to stay strong. She couldn't let them do this to her! She reached for the phone, but the boy bent down and lifted her up over his shoulder before she could reach it. "Lemme go!" She arched her back and bucked as hard as she could, but despite his looks he was surprisingly strong, and the hold he had on her legs was a good one. She couldn't kick free, and even if she did it would be a long, hard drop to the ground. Still, she would choose that over whatever it was that he had in mind for her!
"I'm not settling down with you, your creep!" She growled, slamming her fists on his back, but whatever she did it didn't lessen to hold he had on her. What was he made of, steel? No matter what she did it seemed her fate was sealed. Best thing she could do was scream for help.
"HELP!" She screeched at the top of her lungs, hoping somebody, anybody, on the street would hear her and come to her rescue!

"You're not doing to this one what you did the last. I want to see how long it takes before she breaks on her own." It was all Prestine could do not to roll her eyes at her brother. The little whore had it coming! She wasn't fiery or feisty like this one. She was just...obnoxious. Disrespectful and not in a fun way! Now this girl...she had spunk. And a sharp tongue! Prestine wouldn't want to kill her. Not right away anyway.
But this one did have a mouth on her. A big one. "Oh, no, no, no..." She cooed and put her finger to her lips when the blond began to scream for help. "That just won't do. Here, let me help you." She reached for a roll of packing tape that was nearby on the counter and tore a piece off, wrapping it over Alyson's mouth all the way to her ears. "There! Much better!" She chirped happily.
Prestine patted her brother and reached for the light switch on the wall behind the counter. "Well, may as well get on our way. Kittens waiting! Ooh! Maybe our pets could have a play date! That would be so much fun! We could make them dance together or, OH! We could make them fight!" She clapped her hands and laughed as if this all sounded like such great fun! And to the sick mind of Prestine Davenport, it certainly was great fun.

Sebastian had a very stable hold on Alyson. It wasn't difficult since the girl weighed next to nothing and he was what he was. His arm around her legs wouldn't budge even in the slightest. She was no match to his strength. Prestine had done them both the favor of taping the blonde's mouth shut. They didn't need her screaming all the way back to their pad, getting the attention of the other little insects that were out that night. They headed out the door together and he knew they would head straight back home. It wasn't as if they could spend the evening with this girl kicking and screaming on his shoulder. It would be too much of a distraction. Sebastian only half assedly listened to what Prestine was saying about their little playmates having play dates. This girl would be his and his alone. He'd be sure to keep her away from his sister until he was sure that they would get along without Prestine losing her temper and tearing the girl apart. "Whatever you say." He said absentmindedly to Prestine and headed out into the fresh night air. Next stop: home.
