JANUARY NEWS
Hey guys! So I'm going to make a habit of updating everyone monthly on what is going on in Scriptor Bay as far as plots, members, characters, layouts, locations, and everything in between are going. This is the LATE January edition, because it's not exactly February yet, but I know there's going to be changes when February comes and I want to be sure to have an edition for February.
SITE UPDATES
I'm constantly obsessing on making the site look better. I'm sure those of you who have been here for some time know that by now already. I'm always changing things and trying to find tools that will make everything easier for everybody.
Out of the updates for this month, I've brought back the character legend in the info center. I'll probably be tinkering with the Info center some more. Other than that, not much else will be changing in this section.
MEMBER UPDATES
I would like to take this time to welcome all of our new members! Mizuti, Phil, Sam and Anthony! We're so happy that you've decided to join our little community, and with your help hopefully we'll be able to expand and become bigger!
Also, Sebastian has decided that his schedule has become too hectic to play any longer. In fact, he hasn't been on in a while and I've taken on his characters. Just in case anyone has taken notice. If not, then it won't be too big of a deal. But it will make it difficult for me to fill character requests. So try to be a sport and fill other members' character requests if you feel you can play another character. It's a great way to create friends and relationships, too!
PLOT UPDATES
The current plot is the Black Out Plot (it can be found on the sidebar). It's a general plot that anyone can join and there are no character limitations. Nobody has joined it yet, but I'm going to keep it up in case anyone does decide they'd like to play it. You can make a request for a partner or even just start an open thread for it if you'd like.
There are going to be a lot more board plots that will be coming soon! A few are the basics that you'd find on most sites, and then of course there will be some that pertain to this board alone. One of these plots is going to be a choose your own adventure which I must say I'm very excited for!
OTHER UPDATES AND INFORMATION
I'm adding and deleting boards left and right, trying to clean this place up and make it easier to navigate. I've made a Newbie section for all new members to make it easier to get around for instance! So if something suddenly disappears.. don't be alarmed! I will NOT delete any boards that have active threads in them. So don't worry, your threads will not be moved or deleted, I promise you that! It's more stuff in the Rules and OOC sections.
Another thing I want to bring to everyone's attention is the OTM sidebar. I don't want this forum to turn into a popularity contest, where members join cliques and it leaves the newer members feeling like outcasts. So I've made it the Member Of The Moment section. (Yes, yes I'll change the header so it says Moment instead of Month, just you wait!) I have it coded so that it randomly picks a picture that I've plugged in every time you refresh. In a few days time I'm going to create a form so anyone who wants their characters placed in the random Of The Moment section can have them added. But instead of JUST a picture I'm going to request a little bit of information about your characters. Be sure to watch for the template!
