RULES:- There will be rounds. You may only post once per round. A round consists of all players having posted. When this happens the moderator (Cupcake or Whiskey) will post the next sequence of events.
- You may not make up items. You cannot grab the stapler off the desk if the moderator did not say there was one there. You may only use what is written, unless, of course, your character happens to have a stapler in their pocket. Don't be too cheesy.
- If you are doing something that involves someone else, you must leave it open for interpretation. If you are throwing a stapler at Bob, you cannot say it hit him in the chest. You can say you were aiming for his chest, and then allow Bob to decide if he is hit. This rule applies to players and to people the moderator is adding.
- You have two days to reply. If you are unable to get on the moderator will continue to the next round. this is solely so the thread doesn't die for those that are active. We understand life sometimes gets in the way. You can jump back in when you're ready.
It was a cold windy afternoon there in Scriptor Bay, Oregon. The waves were crashing angrily on the shoreline, the wind was blowing through the trees making what few leaves remain fly off, the branches bowing angrily. The temperature was in the high 30's, just cold enough to make it uncomfortable as you walked from place to place. Fortunately the tall buildings help to keep some areas free of the heavy winds. Pine Wood Bank was in one of those areas. There was nothing different about the day. It was a typical early February morning. The bank was slow with two tellers working the windows and two sitting at desks waiting to help any patron that came in. Tuesday afternoons were always slow. Most people got paid Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, and any gifts that came in over the weekend were deposited on Mondays, leaving Tuesday to be the loneliest bank day of the week. This suited the tellers just fine. They sat and texted under the desk as they waited for the stragglers to come in. The bank management had recently brought in a K-cup coffee machine for the cold patrons, which sat to the right of the building just by the tables where they could get assistance from the staff. The vault was locked in the back and the cameras were on; one pointed at each tellers station, two in the main lobby pointing left and right, and two in the tabled area. In the middle of the large waiting area was an island with deposit slips and pens where the patrons could do any last minute checking or writing. Currently, the place was empty.

Working for Cassidy Merryweather was sort of like a dream come true. she was the best boss Aly had ever had, probably because she was young, cool, and a little nuts sometimes but mostly really down to earth and fun. She'd even walked into the store early one morning and caught her dancing to Don't You Forget About Me from Breakfast Club. It was hard not to tease her all day about that one.
"Don't you, forget about me. Don't, don't don't, don't..."She sang softly under her breath and laughed, her head bowing as her curls slid into her face, the pair of them walking into the Pine Wood Bank each carrying a bag of money hidden inside their nifty purses that Cass herself had designed. It would suck if anyone tried to steal the purses, though. They were FULL of money. Her boss' store was doing phenomenal! Which was awesome in this economy.
Aly held the door for Cass and looked around. Nothing seemed any different than from the last time they had gone to deposit money together. In a way she was honored her boss asked her to come with her to the bank. Cass trusted Aly. She liked feeling trusted like that. "Oh, I looked up that stroller you wanted for Lilly? There were no recalls on it and Amazon actually had it for $75 less than what you got quoted for at the boutique. They also had it in other colors. I bookmarked the pages for you to see when you get a chance later."

The only thing Cassidy hated about having her own business was keeping track of finances. And if the registers ever ran out of cash then she had to do a run for change. She had a hard time trusting some of her employees. One had raided the register and 'promised' to pay her back when they had a chance. That wasn't the sort of business that Cassidy ran. She wanted her business to be a respectable place, not somewhere that her own employees would try to rip her off. So a few cuts and then some new hires she found Alyson. Well, Alyson was trying to buy something from her when she was trying to sell items in an outside booth. But she had a way of handling an old hag that was annoying Cassidy to the point of just letting the old woman have what she wanted as long as she promised to leave.
Alyson had proved herself a very valuable employee. She arrived to work on time and if she had to be late for whatever reason (Cassidy never cared what the reason was as long as Alyson was okay) she always made sure to notify Cass of it. The register always checked out at the end of the night give or take a couple of cents. Alyson ran the register and kept it in balance better than Cassidy herself could! Not that a lot of people paid cash since the items she sold were pretty pricey. But every once in awhile they did and especially when Cassidy had sales. She loved sales herself, and she didn't mind making things more affordable when she could.
"Hey you can't tell me you've never heard a song that was so awesome that you had to stop what you were doing and just break out into dance. Especially a song from a memorable soundtrack. Who doesn't love the Breakfast Club?" Cass could hear Aly singing it under her breath and she laughed, stepping into the bank when the door was held open for her. She liked Aly going with her. It made the load less heavy to carry back. Those rolls of pennies were heavy!
"The stroller? Yeah?" Cass listened to what Alyson said about the item that she wanted to get for her daughter. She was still a sucker for deals. She was raised on her father's cop salary. Her mother had died when she was younger, and it had been a struggle. Alyson seemed to be very skilled at finding the best deals, and she was better at searching things online than Cass was. She was more of an outdoorsy person and would rather run from store to store. She never ordered things online because she didn't every try before. "Okay if I give you my card when we get back to the store would you be able to buy it for me? I'll probably end up screwing it up somehow and buy six of them without realizing it." Cassidy was not exactly tech savvy.
Cassidy moved towards the front of the line since the branch was currently empty, waiting for a teller to call on them. She knew the drill. "Oh did I tell you about my husband's bimbo secretary? Ugh I can't stand that woman I wish she would get a really bad spray tan!" She tried not to be too loud, and she was pretty sure she'd told Aly about Cheyenne on several occasions, but she was still fuming about that. "I'm going to find a really hot guy to come work at the store. He can be like a runner or something. I'm going to send him to Carter's office to pick something up one of these days. I'll slip my phone in his pocket or my credit card in his wallet. I don't know yet."

Going to the bank meant she'd receive a statement, which in turn meant she'd be reminded that she was not an upper-class gal anymore. She was just a regular, working woman, and she hated to be reminded of this fact.
Today, at least, she was cashing two checks, so there would be a little padding in her account for the weekend. She may have hated her job, but it paid fairly well, and so she kept the position. There was nothing glamorous about giving elderly invalids baths, but if it kept a roof over her head and food on the table (which she didn't own; she used dinner trays), she wouldn't quit.
Ana slipped in just behind two other women, who were chatting in a friendly manner with each other. Ana wasn't listening to their conversation, but she could tell by the tone of their voices that they were friends, and for a moment Ana felt a pang of loneliness. She'd moved to Scriptor Bay on a whim, and she hadn't really done anything to endear herself to the locals. She was too defensive for that.
Ana approached the teller's desk and placed the two checks on the counter.
"I just need to cash these," Ana said without looking at the teller. Ana was feeling sorry for herself and didn't feel like terrorizing anyone today.
Instead, she looked around, her eyes falling on the two women who had entered the bank just before she had. Hi Harry, Ana thought sorrowfully as she observed one of the women wearing a Harry Winston pendant necklace that she had admired not long ago on Peanut Street. If it hadn't been for that annoying guy who snatched it out from under her nose, Ana would be wearing it today. As it were, Ana was wearing light pink scrub pants and a black and white scrub top with little hearts on it. She felt like an idiot in the girlish pajama-outfit, but hey, she had gotten a nursing degree, so she'd pretty much signed up for this. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -• B E C A U S E Y O U S A Y S O •UNDER YOUR BREATH SOME WORDS | COMPLETE | E'ERBODEH! | PINK SCRUBS LYRICS BY PANIC! END ROUND 1
"Can I help the next person in line?"
There were three tellers behind the teller line at the bank and one man that sat behind a desk off to the left, leaning back in his chair and clicking around on his computer with his mouse with a bored look on his face. He was probably searching Facebook or buying something on Amazon and aside from a few glances up whenever the doors to the bank opened, he couldn't be bothered to pay attention to anyone.
One of the tellers, a blonde female with her hair up in a high ponytail and a striped button up shirt on waved over the pair (Cass and Aly) to her window. "How may I help you today?" She asked with the most polite smile she could possibly muster and glancing between the two of them. She was definitely a chipper one.
The other teller who had called out that she was ready to assist the remaining female (Anastasia), was a round faced brunette who although she didn't look as happy and cheery was the blonde, she definitely had a gentler, nicer appearance. She had on a sweater vest over a white collared shirt and she offered the female a kind little smile. "Do you have a checking account with us, ma'am?" She asked politely and waited for an answer from the one who wanted to cash her checks.
Meanwhile, the third teller was busy answering a ringing phone and assisting clients in that manner. She kept her tone low so that she wouldn't be overheard telling the client on the phone their balances for their accounts.
Surrounding Items:
ALL CHARACTERS - Because they are/will be standing in front of the teller window there is a paper holder, containing small stacks of Deposit, Withdrawal, and Funds Transfer slips. There is also random, assorted pens (6 total) that are along the teller line. Also, each teller window does not have glass between the teller and the character, so their nameplates are accessible and the tellers are within reach.

"Yeah, I'll order it for you as soon as we get back to the store." Al promised, She loved finding better deals online, and Cass loved spoiling her baby. Al had to admit, Lilly was pretty stinking cute. She wasn't great with babies herself, but Lilly liked smiling at her now and then, and she had watched the tot more times than she could count on both hands and feet. Not for long stretches of time, but usually fifteen minutes here and there when she was at the store late and Cass needed to get things finished up. She sort of liked watching the baby in a way, even though she wasn't great with her. It made her think of being a mommy herself, something she didn't see any time in the near future, but she was more interested now than she had been.
"Oh did I tell you about my husband's bimbo secretary?" Al rolled her eyes and smiled "Only a couple dozen time." She said softly under her breath, but in a joking way as her boss went off about Cheyenne again.
"I'm going to find a really hot guy to come work at the store..." Al ran her hand down the side of her face and shook her head. "I don't think that's such a great idea." She said honestly when Cass had finished and the teller had called them over. "First off, I don't know if I can handle that sort of distraction at work, and second, and more importantly, I don't know if it's such a hot idea to try and make Carter jealous, especially since any hot guy you draw in for a job is going to probably be gay. What sexy straight guy works at a fashion boutique?" It was a good point. She certainly didn't mind a gay guy, but it wouldn't make Carter jealous, which was the appeal for Cass.
"How may I help you today?" Came the teller and Al looked at Cass to take the lead, since she was the boss and all.

Cassidy knew that she had told Aly a few times about Cheyenne but she felt like she had to say it again to get the point across. "You don't get it! She does it on purpose! When I went into his office she was laying across his damn desk!" Cassidy tried to keep her voice down since they were in the bank and everything seemed to echo in banks. She didn't understand why they did that. Having an echo in a bank wasn't very secure now, was it? "I'm going to wring her neck one of these days I swear!"
When they stepped up to the teller she glanced over to the other person who came in and noticed her looking over at them. The very first thing that she noticed about the girl was her hair, which was a very beautiful shade of red! And Cass would know. She was excellent at colors. "I love your hair color." She said throwing the compliment out there for the girl and then turning back to the window in front of her.
"We need to get some change and make a deposit." Cassidy pulled the list out of her purse along with a big wad of money and a deposit slip. "Aly you've got the cash for the change, right? We didn't want to get it all mixed up."
She set the stack of money, which she managed to rubber band so none of it would get lost in her purse over to the teller with the deposit slip. "We need fifty dollars in quarters, twenty in dimes, ten in nickles and four dollars in pennies." She said and set the list down so that the teller could see it when she was done counting out the deposit. That, and she needed the money that Aly had kept separate.
"I don't care if we have to get someone who is gay. I will give them a hundred bucks for a day to act straight. I might even send them to go pick up Lilly from Carter's office! Of course, I'd be waiting down the hall. I wouldn't trust some stranger with my daughter. I just want to make him squirm a little. I hate wondering what that tramp is up to!"

END ROUND 2
The tellers worked steadily with the customers, helping them as needed. It was, after all, what they had been trained to do even if the job was boring and at times demeaning. People tended to look down towards tellers sometimes.
No one saw the two men that entered, their faces covered with black ski masks, guns in their hands. "FREEZE!" The one yelled, pointing his gun towards the tellers, moving it back and forth to point at each one individually. "Put your hands where I can see 'em, ladies. I know you got them silent bells under there!"
The tellers all raised their hands in the air, their eyes widening in terror. "You!" The other gunman said to the three girls getting money out. "Down on the floor. NOW! Put your hands where I can see them or they're gettin' blown off, got it?!" He called, not messing around. They meant business!
