September; the happiest month of the year for the inhabitants of Scriptor Bay! Decades ago, before the city was a city, settlers landed on the shores of Scriptor Bay, OR. Now we all know the myths surrounding the tree, and back in the 70’s one of the mayors of Scriptor Bay decided to honor the colorful story from the city’s past by making September, the month the story took place, a month to celebrate togetherness and comradery in the city! He did this by planning an exciting event each weekend, making September a month to look forward to.
The events are as follows:
Saturday the 03: Scriptor Bay Craft Fair – The Craft Fair will take place on Peanut Street starting at 9am and run until 5pm. Vendors will have one hour for cleanup. Street Performers welcome. Float committees encouraged. Pets welcome. Peanut Street will be closed to vehicles from 8am-5:30pm
Saturday the 10: Scriptor Bay Parade – One of the highlights of the month! The parade will take place on Peanut Street and start promptly at 1pm. Parade length usually runs for two hours. The public is encouraged to arrive early for a good spot. Pets welcome. Peanut Street will be closed to vehicles from 10am-4pm.
Saturday the 17: Taste of Scriptor Bay – Been dying to try that new restaurant? Now’s your chance to sample many of the wonderful restaurants located within the city! Taste of Scriptor Bay takes place on The Pier and starts at 12pm and runs until 4pm. Admission: $5 for children, $10 adults (non-alcoholic), $15 adults (with alcohol). Pets discouraged. Live entertainment will be present.
Saturday the 24-30: Scriptor Bay Carnival – The Carnival will open nightly starting at 6pm and close at 11pm in Fernley Park. Pets discouraged. Children under the age of 13 needs to be accompanied by an adult. Carnival includes typical rides and prize booths! Ticket prices vary.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rules: This one is easy. Abide by the timeline. Do not start a thread at the carnival on August 10th. Be creative, use your imagination, bring the city and the events to life. Talk about that creepy guy dressed like a robot at the craft fair, or that jerk that brought his damn dog to Taste of Scriptor Bay. Complain that you’re stuck working a booth or building a float! Whatever you want, just have fun.
Gargoyles take note of the events times. Depending on the event, you might not be able to attend it because, yah know, you’ll still be stone.
