August had finally arrived and according to the weather forecast there would be nothing but blue skies and sunshine! Oregon was having a very good summer, the weather had been kind to them this year. The summer months weren't scorching like it had been the previous year, in fact this was one of the coolest summers they'd had in five years. The breeze was especially nice on Megsy Isles, the air crisp and fresh thanks to the higher elevation than the city and the surrounding forest. Sure, it was a bit of a drive but it was well worth it.
Megsy Isles consisted of high cliffs with a beautiful forest making for great hiking trails. The beach was especially beautiful down below the cliffs, the sound of waves crashing and seagulls squawking had a melodic sound to it. Everything about Megsy Isles seemed to be magical in its own way.
Since the weather had been very cooperative, the Scriptor Bay Police Department had decided to throw a month long cook out. Setting up picnic tables and providing food and games for all to enjoy! Who could resist spending a day at Megsy Isles when there was free food involved? Just be sure to pack a swimsuit and wear lots of sunblock!

Rules: Basically considering its the first month plot it's an easy one. It's simply a setting to play and can be used as a casual thread or if you want to make something exciting happen then by all means, grab a partner who is willing! Just have fun with it.
Also~ For those who are Avisailles, the trees can be obstructive if you get my drift. Just remember there ARE humans and they believe Avisailles to be myth. Same goes for Blurrs and Therians. Gargoyles, once again, are not allowed considering this takes place during the day.
