History:Bhutan had been his favorite place to visit during his ten year leave. In fact, he loved it so much he spent the longest amount of time there, and came back right before he left. The people were kind, the food was excellent, but if Griffin had to say anything about the country, he would say the altitude made him feel more at home than any other place he visited. The mountains were high. In fact, the entire country was high considering the country is actually located in the Himalayas. He felt at peace there, relaxed, and to this day still he dreams of the beautiful Bhutan lands and the tranquil nature of the country’s inhabitants.
It was a life he wished to lead, but he had obligations at home. Griffin Cartwright was a Guardian, and as a Guardian he would protect the tree in which brought his ancestors to this world and allowed him to experience more beauty than he could ever imagine.
Griffin was a gentle soul who enjoyed finding the beauty in everything. Even the loud city streets were beautiful to him in a way. Sure, they could smell and were awfully loud, but there was definitely beauty in that. Having grown up there, there was also a great deal of comfort in the raucous world in which he lived, but he would have to say he was most happy in his home.
Griffin lived alone in a small, but open apartment on the 17th floor. The reason he chose this particular apartment, despite its pour location, was because of the large windows and tall ceilings. He didn’t feel trapped in the walls as he had in so many other buildings. Unfortunately many of the windows could not be opened, but the few that could always were. Sometimes Griffin would stand in front of those windows with his shirt off and his wings stretched out as far as they would go. He would look at the city and the ocean beyond, and dream of what it would be like to take flight over the skyscrapers. In Bhutan he has taken flight many times in the secluded Himalayan Mountains, but Scriptor Bay was not Bhutan. Not even close.
There were many other places Griffin was happy, the museum and library being two of them, but he was also content to be around his friends and family. Though he wasn’t the most talkative man, he enjoyed being around others and abserving their conversations. This isn’t to say that Griffin never spoke to anyone, but when he did, it was because he had something he wanted to say or explain. Of course this led to sometimes being considered arrogant, but anyone who truly knew the man knew that he was anything but. He enjoyed sharing knowledge and experience, and he enjoyed watching over the Tree of Enlightenment.
