History:/ Jordanna Haile was born in Wyoming to a mother who was physically and mentally much too young to be a mother, but who was determined to attempt to raise her child on her own out of sheer pride. She never met her father and her mother never disclosed who her father had been. When Jordanna was four she had been playing with some toys she had found in the house, one of which had been a lighter. She had seen her mother play with it before but didn’t know how it worked. She soon mastered lighting the little contraption and had fun lighting the lighter and blowing it out. Of course a four year old playing with fire rarely ends well, and so was the case for young Miss Haile. The trailer soon caught fire and the family was left with nothing.
Furious and fed up with being a parent, Jordanna’s mother pushed her off on her own parents who weren’t really in the position to raise another child considering their age. Jordanna’s mother had been their youngest child, and a little girl in the house soon proved too difficult for them. The girl was then passed from family member to family member, rarely staying more than a few years. The longest she stayed in any home was her aunt in Las Vegas during her high school and college years.
The year she moved in with her aunt in Vegas had been a difficult one. For the first time in her life, Jordanna found out that she was different, and not just in the way most teenagers felt they were different. It wasn’t because she had no parents to care for her or that she moved from home to home, it was because when the moon turned full the month after her fourteenth birthday her body shrank and sprouted fur until she was a mouse. One could only imagine how shocked and startled Jordanna had been to find out that her body could transform into another creatures! She kept it a secret, though. No one could ever find out what she could do, though she was determined to find out more about what she truly was. Unfortunately the relationship she had developed with her mother made it impossible for the young girl to go to her, so she knew she would have to go back further to try and dig up some answers!
When Jordanna was sixteen some of her friends pooled some money together and rented her a small store front where she could sell the lotions, soaps and other toiletries she made in her spare time. She named the store Sunshine’s, a nickname a boyfriend had given her at the time she had opened the store. Half of the shop became a café selling tea and pastries, while the other side was more like an organic Bath & Body Works, but naturally better. The store was a huge success and after she graduated college she left the store to open a new location, leaving her best friend Roxy to manage the original Sunshine’s. She found a small storefront in Scriptor Bay, OR where she opened her second location; Sunshine’s Too. The store became an overnight success as the original Sunshine’s had. Her family had originated in Scriptor Bay, and she had even spent some time there as an adolescent with her uncle Steven and his wife Maureen. It was here that she decided she would try to find some answers as to what and who she really was, and why her body morphed into that of a mouse on the full moon, or whenever she felt like.
