The Jack Kit is a cowboy bar and also in the Guardian world known to be a favorite among the Therianthropes. Kit's known to have a bit of a temper and he's a well known jerk. Alrighty then, here's what I'm thinking for Kit and my sweet (ha!) Anastasia.
Ana, who is a fashionable, snotty, and completely shallow New York brat, could run into Kit somewhere and be totally disgusted by him in every way. She would be totally horrible to him, call him Cowboy or something, and they'd totally loath each other.
BUT! Stick with me, it gets better.
Ana has this totally horrible job that she hates with a passion, so one night she might show up to the bar and get totally chip-faced. Suddenly, Kit's lookin' pretty good! So she spills her sob story to him, about how she's not really a horrible wainch, and how she's just lonely and blah blah blah. Even though she is totally wasted, she'll probably fall for Kit, despite his tough, don't-mess-with-me exterior.
This leaves you with two options.
Door number 1: Kit thinks she's still a horrible cow, and wants nothing to do with her, and they become bestest enemies.
Door number 2: They realize maybe the other is not quite as bad as they seem at first glance, and they fall madly in like with each other and date. We could see where things go from there.
What do you think?

Kit runs a very bad temper at times. Unless he's flirting with a very hot chick. And Anastasia in Kit's eyes, is a very hot chick. I could see them bumping into each other and her attitude towards him definitely being a major turn off for him.
If Anastasia stumbled into his bar he'd probably roll his eyes and groan. Probably say something about not serving stuck up bitches, but then because he has a soft spot he'd offer her a drink on the house.
Now about that bit of him having a soft spot? Deep down he's a sweetheart, but he just doesn't like to show it often. And if she was spilling all this information about herself he'd probably lighten up on her a bit. He's used to being around snobby, stuck up people. He used to date one.
I would say let's go with option number 2. Maybe they start seeing each other casually. At least, that's how Kit would want to keep it at first. He'd definitely like her and he'd like to see where things might lead.

I was thinking Kit would've given him a job before Brett became a detective so now they're pretty good friends. I can see him being a sort of non related Uncle to Brett. Since he got dropped by his family, Brett would've probably gotten closer to Kit while he was in college. Plus they're both dog shifters so they could have always gotten into a bit of trouble in the past.
What do you think, any other ideas?

I think the fact that they're dog shifters they'd definitely get along great. Although he's a bit of an ass he's a caring ass if that makes sense. He cares about his friends and he'd have Brett's back.
Only thing though is I could see Kit calling in favors to Brett. Like when the police get called on his bar and whatnot for drunk brawls and the like. Not that he'd do it all the time, just whenever he'd get put in a really tight situation.
Other than that, yes. I like your idea and I can totally see it!

Oh yeah I was actually thinking about the whole favors thing earlier too! I forgot to add it in. Brett would totally do that.
And for being an ass, Brett is one too. So he has no problem with that.

Well, since Ana didn't work out, maybe Hadley could take over her part of Kit's plot? Maybe Kit gets all high and mighty and makes a bet that he can bed her before someone else, and finds out he actually likes her? Idunno, just some ideas.

Maybe we could see if Gavin wants to get in on the fun. Since Gavin works for Kit and he's a bit of a tool himself in a nice guy sort of way. I could see them placing bets to see who could get the girl first. And Kit is definitely the type to fall for those who aren't his type. He hates it but it's true.

Sounds great to me!! Should Hadley fall for him too? Do we want them to end up together? I mean, Haddles enjoys a good beer, so she'd probably wander in to Kit's bar and chill for a while, but she'd probably blow Kit off initially, because I imagine he'd come on cocky and arrogant. Granted, a few beers later... hehehe
