Features: It's not exactly easy to describe Alyssa physically. Some might say she's absolutely gorgeous while others might call her "average." Alyssa's ethnic background is a mix of various things; she's like her own little continent. Her brown hair is almost always kept in waves and very rarely will you catch her sporting a ponytail or straight hair. It's quite long and extends a few inches past her elbows. While Alyssa doesn't usually object to change, she refuses to change her hair in any way, whether it be dying her hair or cutting it. Alyssa's eyes are a very welcoming brown, but they can change to what some people assume is a frightening black when she becomes angry. Alyssa stands at 5'9" and is a relatively tall woman, something she finds to be both a curse and a blessing when dealing with different people in different situations. Her weight never goes above 110 pounds and she does have a few curves, but Alyssa chooses to never flaunt them.
Sexual Preference [Optional]: Heterosexual. Once she has some alcohol in her, it's bisexual all the way.
Ethnicity: African-American/Italian/French/Serbian/Dutch/English descent
Marks/Tattoos/Visible Scars: There is a strange birthmark on the back of Alyssa's left thigh that resembles a hourglass. She also has a tattoo of the fleur-de-lis on her upper right thigh. It was something Alyssa got while drunk and she has always regretted it.

Flaws/Weaknesses: If there is one thing Alyssa is not, it's sociable. To say she's anti-social and an introvert wouldn't be correct, but she's definitely reserved and passive. This tends to get her into trouble as it comes off as annoying. After all, wouldn't you get annoyed when someone answered your questions with only one word? When surrounded by people she knows or has befriended, Alyssa becomes a little more lively, but not enough to make a substantial difference. She's also a perfectionist, and while it may seem like a good thing, it's anything but. When Alyssa does anything, she won't stop until it's perfect. This was very prevalent in her childhood, especially when it came to school projects. Alyssa would stay up until three in the morning if she had to and would even rip apart a project if it wasn't "acceptable." Now that she's gotten older, her perfectionism extends to everything. She'll even refuse to eat her own food if it hasn't been prepared "properly." This perfectionism has been associated with obsessive-compulsive disorder and there are signs that Alyssa does, in fact, suffer from this. The signs, however, all revolve around organizing and keeping things "perfect," though she does tend to count her footsteps and how many times she has chewed her food. Apart from this, Alyssa shows symptoms of mysophobia, which is the fear of germs and dirt and contamination. The most common symptoms are rigorously cleaning her house or dishes several times and repeatedly washing her hands. There are times, though, when Alyssa will refuse to shake hands with someone or even leave her house. Finally, Alyssa is very susceptible to the effects of alcohol. All she needs is a few drops of the liquid courage to lose all inhibitions and do things that would normally make her cringe. Many people say this is when Alyssa Collins actually becomes fun.
Skills/Strengths: Most perfectionists are quite intelligent; it's a known fact. Alyssa is an example of this. Her IQ could intimidate some of the so-called, self-proclaimed "geniuses" that wander the halls of her university. It has been determined that it is within 180 and 190 points, with the common estimate being 187. Yes, this bitch is smart. Along with her intelligence, Alyssa is known for being morally strong. Like, stronger than Mother Theresa. She knows what's right and what's wrong, and, as expected, always chooses the right path. Her judgement and morals are easily clouded by alcohol and, despite all her attempts, she is still seduced by it. Alyssa is also musically talented and can play instruments such as the violin, the piano, the harp, and the flute. She also possesses an eidetic memory, but her perfectionism and her OCD symptoms can occasionally render it useless. Alyssa is also a strong swimmer. Aside from this, she has no other physical strengths or skills whatsoever.

History: The Collins family was always known for having the strangest children. It's something Isabeau Collins tells her husband, Matthew, everyday. The ancestors of the family weren't exactly what most would call "normal." Some were said to have been illegitimate children of Marie Antoinette, others were apparently part of the Ottoman Empire, and more than two dozen were executed during the Salem Witch Trials. Isabeau and Matthew Collins produced some of the strangest children of them all. Alyssa Maribella Collins was the first born and it was evident from the beginning that she was far more intelligent than other children. Then came Natalia Jane Collins, a child who was somber from the moment she emerged from her mother's womb. It's said that Isabeau and Matthew chose to stop after two children because of how strange their first set of offspring were. Even if this wasn't the case, the Collins family didn't bother to argue.
When Alyssa was three, she began to show signs of an eidetic, or photographic, memory. Both her parents and family were initially surprised; none of the current members of the Collins family exhibited the signs of such a valuable and rare gift. It was a known fact, however, that several of the Collins women who were burned during the Witch Trials possessed eidetic memories. As she grew older and matured at a much faster rate than other children, Alyssa became the epitome of perfectionists. She would spend much of her time at home organizing various things and even organized the kitchen supplies in alphabetical order. When it came to school, she would stay up until three in the morning completing projects and writing essays. It came to the point where Alyssa would actually dispose of her projects because they were filled with "imperfections." Isabeau was worried that her daughter would not succeed in school because of this, but Alyssa always managed to hand in all her projects and assignments. Then came the mysophobia and the symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder. It was now evident that Alyssa Collins was definitely one of the strangest members of the Collins family.
It was when she was seventeen that she had her first experience with alcohol. Alyssa had managed to skip several grades and was now in her second year of university. One of her older "friends" had invited her to a party and Alyssa refused to go, but Matthew and Isabeau demanded that she attend the party. She rarely left the house as it was and without any sort of social life, her parents were worried that their daughter would eventually be driven insane. So, after several heated arguments, Alyssa finally agreed to attend the party. She says that she can't remember anything that occurred after the first hour--which may or may not be true--but her "friends" remembered everything. Someone had managed to convince Alyssa to take a few sips of an alcoholic beverage and everything went downhill from there. She began to lose her morals and sense of responsibility, and began to make out with men and women alike. She even got a tattoo of the fleur-de-lis, though her parents still don't know about this. After waking up in her room with a massive hangover, Alyssa expected her parents to punish her. Instead, they simply smiled and agreed that perhaps there was still some hope for her to become "normal." If only that was somewhat true.
When Alyssa was eighteen, she discovered that she was a witch. An actual, hocus-pocus, magic wielding witch. Being a realist, she refused to believe such a thing. But when she accidentally set Natalia's comforter on fire, Alyssa was forced to finally accept that she was a witch. Now, at the age of twenty-one, she is in her sixth year of university and is on her way to obtaining a Doctor of Medicine in neurosurgery. Her grandmother, however, has chosen Alyssa as the heir to one of her multi-billion dollar companies. Despite the prospect of becoming a very rich woman, Alyssa is not interested in running a company. This, of course, isn't surprising. She's a member of the Collins family, after all. They're a strange bunch.

Why would she even think of wearing that?
Did I remember to hand in that project?
I can't believe he finally asked me out!
She wanted to roll up in a ball and just lie in the middle of the hallway. Students walked through the halls, caught up in their own lives and problems to even notice Kassandra. Their thoughts were her thoughts and it hurt. It hurt like Hell. Ever since she had arrived her hopes of having a 'normal' life were shattered. Kassandra had never been a fan of comics but her father did have quite a large collection stashed in the attic. One day, while cleaning, she had discovered them and after flipping through a few of the comics, Kassandra had realized she was similar to that redhead...what was her name again? Joyce? Or was it Jen? Jean! That was her name. Jean Grey. Okay, so they weren't even remotely similar, but they were both telepathic and apparently that Jean character had mental blocks. Kassandra had expected that someone here would create those for her, yet nothing of the sort happened. She was just left to deal with all of this alone. Perhaps it was for the best. Kassandra never did like sympathy.
Someone bumped into her and Kassandra winced, biting her lip so she wouldn't scream. She had screamed in the past and it had resulted in the neighbors thinking that the Desmarais children were being abused. The student, a boy no older than sixteen with blue eyes and an intentionally messy hair cut, apologized quickly before dashing off. He was obviously in a rush and Kassandra assumed it was because he was late for a class. She was running late herself. The teachers were very understanding and had no problem with excusing Kassandra for her occasional tardiness. A few, she believed, were only so forgiving because all of their secrets were available for her pleasure. But it didn't work like that. Kassandra was not yet capable of actually separating the thoughts in order to understand them, so most of it was just jiberish to her. Even at night, when her sleep was invaded by the dreams and nightmares of others, she couldn't differentiate between them.
With a textbook--it was either for Biology or History- and notebook in her arms, Kassandra moved through the halls, dodging both students and teachers alike. After that incident with the nurse, Kassandra was afraid of what might happen if she were to make physical contact with someone else. There was the rare occasion where someone bumped into her and nothing happened but she still didn't want to take any chances. Kassandra still didn't understand why she had such a vivid memory about that incident. Everything else was hard for her to remember, yet the memory of the nurse dying was burned into her mind. Perhaps it was some sort of punishment. She reached her class just several seconds before the bell rang and took her seat, glancing at her textbook. It was for her History class and this was Chemistry. Oh well. It's not like she would have been able to concentrate, anyways.
