History: Annie has lived her whole life with her mother Jackie in Scriptor Bay. Jackie met her husband while he was studying abroad in London. He was an American charmer from Oregon with hazel eyes and an outgoing personality. Jackie was swept off her feet and soon found herself exchanging rings with him. From there they moved back to her husband’s hometown, Scriptor Bay, and soon Jackie gave birth to a baby girl. On the day Annie turned two, her father went out to get the birthday cake and was struck just outside the shop by a drunk driver. Needless to say, Annie never knew her father. Her mother remained an ex-patriot, raising her daughter in the thriving city of Scriptor Bay. It was a modest life, but a good one full of love.
Her school days were bright and happy. Annie was popular in school and always at the top of her class. Boys were asking her on dates by the end of middle school and Annie had a short string of boyfriends by the time she graduated high school. She played sports, did cheerleading, wrote for the school newspaper and even got a full ride to Oxford University. She liked the idea of going to college in her mother’s native country. Of course Jackie was bursting with pride and even more so when Annie announced she would be studying medicine. Annie no longer did sports in college, throwing herself entirely into her studies, though she did join a sorority. Her college years were wonderful, but being so far away from her mother was very difficult. As soon as she finished medical school she returned to Scriptor Bay to be near her mother again. She got an internship at Scriptor Bay Memorial Hospital and immediately began making friends with the other interns and reconnecting with old friends. Without her friends, the first few months of interning would have been a nightmare.
Being a doctor was harder than Annie expected, but she loved the challenge. Pretty quickly she determined that she would love to work in pediatrics and spent as much time as possible in that ward. The kids loved her and she loved spending time with them. Then some of them disappeared. She was called to volunteer at a facility for the sick last summer and discovered something she never could have expected. It was a facility for creatures only found in Scriptor Bay. She learned about people who could shift into animals and men and women with birds wings sprouting out of their backs. She was forced to clip those beautiful wings, a task that brought tears to her eyes. Several other doctors from the hospital were asked to help and they all commiserated about the awful task they had been given. As the months passed, she learned of many beings that lived in Scriptor Bay, beings she'd lived with all her life but never knew existed. Now she is determined to find out more about them and do what ever she can to help them in an attempt to make up for clipping wings.
She still has to do her rounds of all the departments. She helps guardians when she can on any visit they make to the hospital, joining a small group of other doctors who specialize in guardian care. Also, shes finding herself quite comfortable in pediatrics. With a pediatric doctor’s recommendation, she could easily make it her specialty. All she has to do now is make an impression.
