It had been a little over a week since Sebastian had showed up on Aly's doorstep. At first it was odd having him around. She was used to having him there with her at night seeing as he'd held her hostage for a couple months, but to have him there all the time was just strange. It didn't help that Aly liked her privacy and she wasn't exactly getting any of that with him around all the time. Sure, he kept to himself at times, but playing Sally Homemaker was just weird. She cooked for them, she cleaned up after him, hell she even put out most days, sometimes more than once. They had gone zero to sixty from fighting to practically married. It was just... not Alyson. And it was certainly not Sebastian.
She both loved and loathed it all which was very common for anything concerning this incredibly sexy man who had so completely captivated her. She loved having him there, loved the banter and frankly, loved the sex but sometimes it was too much.
Today she was in one of those moods where it was just too much and she was constantly getting annoyed at the little things. Not only had he finished the milk and not told her or gotten more, he had left the empty toilet paper roll on without changing it AND he left the toothpaste out again. There were even gross bits of toothpaste in the sink where he had spit it out and not cleaned it up. That was one of Aly's biggest pet peeves. She hated that nasty gob of toothpaste left in the sink! This was precisely why the girl had chosen to live alone.
"You!" She snapped, finding him on the couch and wishing suddenly he had a shirt on. It was very distracting seeing him bare chested with his hair all messy like that. She was still in her pajamas; a fitted tank top, sweat pants and a baggy flannel button down hung loosely over her shoulders to keep the chill off. "Look, it's all well and good you're bunking up here but I need you to pull your weight, and I'm not trying to be one of those naggy pesky girlfriends, because that's not what I am, but if you're gonna stick around, you need to work with me. Otherwise you're gonna get bitch Aly, and just for the record, this isn't bitch Aly. Okay? Okay."

Nearly a week and a half had gone by since Sebastian showed up at Aly’s place needing somewhere safe to stay while he waited out the storm that was not only Robert Snow but also the actual stormy weather that was going on outside, keeping him from turning to stone. It had been difficult to sleep but Sebastian found it was pretty easy after a vigorous workout. And what better way to get your heart pumping than a little sex? In fact Sebastian and Aly had been having it on a regular basis since he’d been there. But even though that was one of the perks of staying with the girl it had some disadvantages as well.
Aly seemed to get pissed about everything that he did. Sebastian was very inconsiderate, something that Aly should have already known. Not only that but Sebastian didn’t like to clean, even if it was after himself, and again Aly would get angry. They would bicker back and forth from time to time, but one thing that they didn’t fight about was space. Sebastian just found himself run down and wanting to be left alone half the time and Aly seemed to be perfectly content doing her own thing. It was both relaxing and unnerving. He didn’t like the thought of her being independent, doing what she wanted and without him. He had enjoyed being the one who she had to do everything with. He liked knowing that she waited for him and had to ask him if she wanted to do anything. In a way he missed having her locked up in his bedroom. But with their new agreements he didn’t have to concern himself with her running off and going to the police. She wanted to be around him and strangely he enjoyed being around her just as much. Not that he’d openly admit it.
”You!” Sebastian craned his neck to see Alyson coming into the living room. All of his gashes and wounds from when he’d been tortured had healed up nicely, only leaving the new pink skin to show where they had been, which he was sure would likely leave small scars but nothing that would deface him. He was glad that his body was mending properly even if it was doing an incredibly slow job, and he felt that it was good enough to flaunt his gorgeous self again so he remained shirtless.
He took notice of Aly’s clothes and although they were baggy and even a little butch, he couldn’t deny that she had a way of making them appear sexy. Okay? Okay." But then she opened that damn mouth of hers and the sex appeal was gone.
“Is it that time of the month already?” He groaned and rolled his eyes, more so because he knew that it likely wasn’t that time of the month and he knew it just might set her off. “Take it easy I’ll do my weight pulling later,” he waved his arm at her lazily as if he was trying to shoo her away. “Right now I’m busy.” He was anything but busy but he wanted to try and get in a nap. He could feel his right eye twitching just enough to drive him mad and he knew it was due to exhaustion. The television was playing lightly but he wasn’t really paying attention on it. In fact, it was on The Ellen Degeneres Show, something that Sebastian didn’t find interesting but as the short blonde haired woman danced around the crowd at the beginning even he found it mildly amusing, all but forgetting Aly was still standing there.

“Is it that time of the month already?” Alyson narrowed her eyes at him. Did he seriously just say that to her? He was Sebastian. Of course he fucking did. She wanted to go to him and slap him but she held back, her fists clenched tight at her sides. “Take it easy I’ll do my weight pulling later, right now I’m busy.” He was waving his hand dismissively at her and turning back to the TV. She looked over and saw he was watching Ellen. Sebastian was watching ELLEN which was more important that doing his fair share of stuff around HER apartment !
Aly stomped in front of the television blocking his view, her hands on her hips. The flannel slipped over her shoulders and was hanging loosely around her elbows as she glowered at him, her curls a messy crown around her head. "Okay, watching Ellen? That's not busy. Doing something around the house is busy. You wouldn't know busy if it bit you in the ass." Her drawl was starting to come out slightly as it did whenever she got pissy. "You told me yesterday you would help out later and yah never did, so.. when's later, Sebastian?" She couldn't help but feel like a really naggy girlfriend but what choice did she have? Sebastian was being a lazy sack of potatoes and she was damn sick of it.
"And by the way? The next time you accuse me of being on the rag, I'm going to really be a bitch. Number one rule of living with a woman; never bring up their cycle, not unless you want to get bitch slapped, and for the record, I'm not afraid of you anymore!" She snarled as if this would somehow help her case, when even she knew it wouldn't. Truth was she probably was PMSing, which was why she was being as butt hurt about all this as she was, but it wasn't his business to bring it up! What a man thing to do!

When Aly moved in front of the television he blinked and slowly his eyes moved up to meet her fiery orbs. Sebastian stared at her as his jaw tensed, being reamed by Alyson was nothing new to him but he was too tired and irksome to sit there and listen to her. ”Okay, watching Ellen? That’s not busy. Doing something around the house is busy. You wouldn’t know busy if it bit you in the ass.” He noticed the hint of that southern accent and deep down he was smiling though his face wouldn’t show it. He always thought those southern drawls were annoying and made a person sound like an idiot, but when Alyson let it slip during her tirades he couldn’t deny it was a bit sexy. ”You told me yesterday you would help out later and yah never did, so.. when’s later, Sebastian?” She had access to his damn cards. His wallet was sitting on her nightstand! Couldn’t she just call a cleaning service and have them come and pick up their mess the way that Sebastian normally did? It wasn’t too hard and he knew one company that wouldn’t ask questions about mystery stains or objects, like strange gargoyles in the middle of the living area.
”And by he way?” Here we go, ”The next time you accuse me of being on the rag, I’m going to really be a bitch. Number one rule of living with a woman; never bring up her cycle, not unless you want to get bitch slapped, and for the record, I’m not afraid of you anymore!” Obviously Aly wanted to go there. Fine, he’d go there. She wasn’t afraid? He got up from the couch and moved around the coffee table that stood between them, coming up close to her and straightened up so that he would look taller when he was in front of her.
“You know you can be real annoying sometimes. I don’t clean. I don’t cook. If you want someone to do it then call someone. You know where my wallet is,” he gestured behind him in the direction of her bedroom, not taking his cold grey eyes off of her while he did it. “Otherwise calm the hell down.” He was going to turn and go back to slump into the couch again and wallow in his own self pity but he stopped and turned back to her. “I’m not going to be stuck like this forever so don’t take advantage of it. You think that I like sitting around here? That I like listening to you nag me incessantly over leaving something out? I’d prefer to be home. In my home. I want my things. But somebody made that impossible for me, didn’t they?” He glowered, growing heated at the thought of how he couldn’t go home. He was sure Prestine didn’t care just as long as she had her little pet to keep her entertained. He’d hardly heard a word from her, not that he wanted to talk to her anyway. Even still he actually felt a little homesick. He wanted to lay on his couch, drink his bourbon, and do whatever the hell he damn well pleased without this little blonde hounding him to clean.

Aly watched him get up and come closer, glaring at him as he did as if to tell him he couldn't intimidate her. “You know you can be real annoying sometimes." Alyson continued to glower. She didn't care if he thought she was annoying! She thought HE was annoying. "I don’t clean. I don’t cook. If you want someone to do it then call someone. You know where my wallet is,” Was that his answer to everything? Buy it? Did he ever lift a finger and do anything for himself? Had he ever cleaned ANYTHING? She supposed he had cleaned some of the messes she made in his room back when she'd been held captive, but that was different. “Otherwise calm the hell down.”
He was moving away and she opened her mouth to say something but he turned and looked at her once more, those piercing blue eyes making her stop in her tracks as they often did. “I’m not going to be stuck like this forever so don’t take advantage of it. You think that I like sitting around here? That I like listening to you nag me incessantly over leaving something out? I’d prefer to be home. In my home. I want my things. But somebody made that impossible for me, didn’t they?”
Oh he was NOT going there! Alyson turned and grabbed the bird figuring on her TV and chucked it at him. "Hey, you're the one that decided to go all Ike Turner on me, okay? In front of my BOSS! That was all YOUR fault and if you hadn't A) abducted me and B) beaten me there wouldn't be an investigation on you an 'you'd still be in your precious little house. Now that being said, if you want me to quit asking for help then YOU call someone to help me!" She snapped at him, tired of his bullshit! "Don't you dare blame me for that, and if you're so sick and tired of me and being here you can just... well, you can just go!" Alyson didn't want him to leave, not by a long shot, but if he was going to be a butthole then she didn't want him around either!

"Hey, you're the one that decided to go all Ike Turner on me, okay? In front of my BOSS! That was all YOUR fault and if you hadn't A) abducted me and B) beaten me there wouldn't be an investigation on you an 'you'd still be in your precious little house. Now that being said, if you want me to quit asking for help then YOU call someone to help me!" He was getting frustrated with her attitude, and didn't like when she threw things at him. He'd call someone and have them come and scrub her entire place from top to bottom. But he still blamed Alyson for the fact that he couldn't go home, and like she read his mind she piped up again. "Don't you dare blame me for that, and if you're so sick and tired of me and being here you can just... well, you can just go!"
Did she want him to go? He had a feeling she was just saying it because she wanted to get a rise out of him. He could go off on her or he could just ignore it. But it wasn't like him to be the bigger man and just ignore her. "Is that what you want? Do you want me to go?" He took a step closer to her and grabbed at her plaid shirt to pull her closer to him. She looked less than happy but he always saw that as a challenge. A challenge to change her mood around and make her smile. With her it was harder to do than it was with other women. He could just flash as mile at other women and they'd try to hide their bashful little smiles. But with Aly, if he flashed a smile at her he knew she'd probably take it as sarcasm and throw something else at him.
Instead of yelling back he reached up to grab her face in both of his hands, looking down into her angry eyes. "You don't want me to leave, do you? You like having me here on your turf to boss around, don't you?" He asked her and now the playful smile appeared on his face. If she kept fighting him he just might leave. He'd go and stay with his sister for a while, though he'd hate being stuck in the same room as her and her stupid pet.

"Is that what you want?" Err... "Do you want me to go?" No! Not really.. He stepped back towards her and Aly did her best to keep her angry face still on, because she was still annoyed. Dammit he was being an asshole! He grabbed at her shirt and she pursed her lips as he tugged her closer. She moved reluctantly until he stopped pulling and cupped her face with his hands. She didn't pull away but she did glower up at him.
"You don't want me to leave, do you?" For a moment her eyes softened a little, but then he opened his mouth again and ruined the moment. "You like having me here on your turf to boss around, don't you?" His smile was playful but his words annoyed her. Is that what he thought? She just liked bossing him around? Because SHE didn't like having to be all bossy. In fact, she hated it. It was annoying. HE was annoying!
"You don't listen to me." She grumbled, "So that's obviously not the reason." She was still huffy and didn't want to cave so easily but his charm made it hard to do sometimes. Hell, he'd beaten her and she still let him come back around. That didn't exactly speak volumes for her character. "Maybe I don't want you to leave, but I do want you to respect me." She reached up and took his hands, pulling them from her cheeks and pushing them away. Not roughly, but enough to show she didn't want him to charm his way out of this. "You're really aggravating, and it doesn't matter how many time I use that damn credit card of yours, it doesn't fix you and your inability to work with me."

”You don’t listen to me.” Of course he didn’t listen to her. ”So that’s obviously not the reason.” He ran his thumb along her forehead gently and brushed away a few curls that seemed to always bounce their way back in her face. No matter what he did to her she always came right back to him. He’d torture her and treat her like dirt and yet she’d still cuddle up to him if he fed her a few sweet lines every now and then. Though the lines he fed her these days where more genuine. He meant the nice things he told her these days. Like when he said he wanted to stay with her. He hated staying with people, he preferred to be alone and enjoyed his privacy. He also couldn’t stand someone for long periods of time but with Alyson he enjoyed her company on most days.
But today wasn’t one of them.
”Maybe I don’t want you to leave, but I do want you to respect me.” When she reached up for his hands he let her move them away from her face and push them away. She wasn’t being hostile, she just didn’t want to be touched by him at the moment apparently and it made him frown. ”You’re really aggravating, and it doesn’t matter how many times I use that damn credit card of yours, it doesn’t fix you and your inability to work with me.” This wasn’t something she was going to let up on anytime soon. She was going to nag and nag him until he either left or caved in. And since he didn’t have anywhere else to go at the moment it left him with one option.
Sebastian huffed and gave the girl a long, leery look before finally slapping his hands against the sides of his legs. “What do you want me to do? Clean up toothpaste? Do dishes? Tell me what you want me to do and I’ll do it. Then will you leave me alone and let me nap in peace?” He asked her and raised his brows, lowering his head so he had to look up at her in his usual charming way. He hated chores and every fiber in his body was screaming for him to tell her that he wasn’t going to lift a finger but he ignored it. He needed to do this in order to get her off his damn back.

He was huffing and she wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. What she did know was that he wasn't glaring at her and that WAS a good thing. Finally he slapped his legs and opened his damn mouth. Alyson braced herself for the stream of shit that was about to pour from that obnoxiously sexy orifice of his.
“What do you want me to do? Clean up toothpaste? Do dishes? Tell me what you want me to do and I’ll do it. Then will you leave me alone and let me nap in peace?”
That was definitely not what she'd expected him to say. She opened her mouth and then shut it and nodded slowly. That was exactly what she wanted him to do, but suddenly she felt a little guilty for it. She tried to remind herself that it was time he did a little something around there and that she shouldn't feel guilty about it.
"Clean the bathroom sink, and dishes. And.." She looked around and then back at Sebastian. "Vacuum." That was good for starters. Then she could do laundry and all would be great. "Thank you." She said softly leaning in and kissing him.
The entire exchange felt almost girlfriendy but she tried not to think of it that way. She wasn't his girlfriend, was she? Would she mind so much if she was? Yes if he continued to act like a snot about this sort of stuff, but in all the idea wasn't that terrible. Still, it wasn't like her to pester guys about that sort of thing. Why mess with a good thing? Then again this wasn't exactly a good thing. "Now I don't need to kick your slacker ass out." She said and poked at his bare chest, her head tilted a little to the side as she gazed up at him. "Unless you do a shitty job." She turned away and headed towards her bedroom to start collecting their laundry, turning and peaking over her shoulder as she went. "And when you're done you can call a cleaning service so I don't have to bitch at you anymore." There was a playful gleam in her eye as she smirked at him before disappearing into the other room to start on the chores. She'd go check on him in a minute or two and make sure he was actually doing what he promised.

He could tell that he shocked her with how compliant he was acting which only amused him some. ”Clean the bathroom sink, and dishes. And..” It was like she was deliberately trying to find things to keep him busy. He wanted to tell her not to push it but he bit his tongue and let her speak, ”vacuum.” He didn’t want to vacuum, but when she said thank you and gave him an appreciative kiss he decided he could try to figure out how the hell her vacuum worked.. once he found the damn thing. He rolled his eyes in an exasperated way like she was putting him out but he knew it was really the other way around. She’d had to clean up after two people for the last week and he assumed that became tiring after a while.
”Now I don’t need to kick your slacker ass out.” The words actually made him angry but when she poked him in the chest he realized that she was only kidding with him. He wasn’t entirely a slacker, he ordered food when she asked him to. ”Unless you do a shitty job.” Always the smart ass, he thought to himself but remained silent when she started to walk away. ”And when you’re done you can call a cleaning service so I don’t have to bitch at you anymore.” That was exactly what he was going to do after he finished doing the stupid chores she assigned to him.
Out of the three chores that he was given he decided to start with the dishes first since the kitchen was closer to him than the bathroom. He managed to find a bottle of dish soap under the sink and poured it into the side of the sink with the dirty dishes, plugging up the drain and turning on the hot water. While the sink filled and soapy bubbles started to float out he grabbed a sponge and opened up the dishwasher, pulling out the bottom tray so he could set the dishes in after he scrubbed off any caked food. Slowly he got through the bowls and plates, glaring down at the sink like a child who was stuck doing chores instead of going outside to play with his friends. He thought about how he’d like to just take her out everyday to get food so that they wouldn’t have to use dishes ever again, but it was too risky still. He didn’t know what was going on with the outside world and until he heard from that one chick who worked for Snow, he was stuck on maid duty.
There hadn’t been a whole lot of dishes since Aly did them so often and he managed to get them done in a decent amount of time. He left the dishwasher door open though, since he had no idea what kind of detergent to toss in there or even how to turn it on. Hers was different than the one they had in their condo. Hell, everything was different than what they had in their condo, and being used to his own things he found himself clueless to how other things worked. Like her cabinets! He had no idea where anything was and it frustrated him sometimes. He didn’t understand why she put certain things where she did when it made sense to him that they would be in a totally different section. “How do you run this?” He called out, hearing her in the other room making a bit of noise but he knew she could hear him.
