Her reaction to his comment made him grin. He was patient, but he had every intention of tormenting her further for yesterdays transgression. Sure, he had made her pay for it all night, but in a nice, fancy restaurant? How could he possibly resist the temptation.
Her story started dull. He listened patiently, having gotten better at doing that over the past few weeks. He was working on giving a damn about what she said since it seemed to turn her on. Plus, there was a deep part of him that liked getting to know what made her tick. He could use it to his advantage, or at least that was the excuse he gave himself.
"...well, at the risk of sounding silly, we felt like princesses." He grinned. Ah, the childish fancy of a young girl. Why did they all want to be princesses?
"Turns out, it was the only time he'd do that. Five years later, he disappeared along with my mother and Maureen out on the ocean." His own smile faded when she admitted her loss to him. He recalled the photograph in her office of a young Maxine surrounded by people who were obviously her parents and sister. The older girl, who he assumed to be Maureen, was striking, like Maxine, but perhaps in a more mature way. Even as a young girl she had a classic look to her. Not that Maxine did not, but they were different, both beautiful. It felt strange to know she no longer existed.
"That's why the Blue Scallop is special for me," There had been a silence before and he allowed it to trail until she spoke again, trying to think of the most appropriate thing to say. Had she been a colleague he would have known precisely the proper reaction, but she wasn't someone he needed to woo for something or another. Their relationship was on a different level completely. "Sorry I put a damper on the mood."
"No need for apologies." He said quickly and reached for a slice of bread which he didn't really want. "It's a shame you lost your family." His tone was soft and sincere. "It must be very difficult." He offered apologetically. His gaze lowered to the dress as he thought for a moment, feeling mildly uncomfortable with this topic, and realizing how inappropriate he had been before, but he reminded himself it was part of his charm and he hadn't known. "I suppose I won't need to worry about your father hunting me down, then." He offered, attempting to lighten the mood some with his dark joke. "Though I'm sure he'd be pleased I was treating his youngest child like a princess. At least momentarily." He smirked.
Just the the waitress returned, setting their oysters on the table between them and placing two small plates in front of them both. "Bon appetit." He said, reaching for a lemon wedge and spraying the oyster before letting the slimy mollusk slide down his throat. When he swallowed he looked back at Maxine. "So, are there any other friends of yours I need to be wary of?" He asked, wanting to change the subject, mildly uncomfortable with the personal twist their evening took.

"No need for apologies. It's a shame you lost your family. It must be very difficult."
Maxi felt comforted by this reaction. It was a relief to hear August sound apologetic and almost sympathetic. She didn't really expect him to ignore it or seem bored, but she was glad he actually gave her some words of comfort. An appreciative smile crossed her face and she could feel herself relax a little more. "I suppose I won't need to worry about your father hunting me down, then." Maxi laughed, feeling strangely lightened by August's dark humor. "You never know, he might be a ghost," she teased. "Though I'm sure he'd be pleased I was treating his youngest child like a princess. At least momentarily." Maxi shook her head with a laugh. "Sean McManus would insist his daughter be treated like a princess all the time," she said playfully. "But I'm lax on that point." She gave a giggle just as the waitress came up with their oysters.
Oysters were not Maxi's favorite food. Honestly, she felt like she was eating a slug when she sucked one down. The taste was good, though, so it became an inner battle between taste and texture for her. She reached for one, though, along with a lemon wedge, and smiled when he said, "Bon appetit." The lemon wedge burst between her fingers before she picked up the mollusk and sucked it down, the mixture of salt, citrus, and the general taste of the sea pleasant on her tongue. If only she could get over the image of a slug sliding down her throat. For all intents and purposes, though, she liked it.
"So, are there any other friends of yours I need to be wary of?" Maxi smiled, reaching for another oyster. "Well, maybe one," she replied, squeezing the lemon again. "My friend Becky. She's a cop. I've known her since she was very young. She's like a little sister to me, so if you step on her toes, you might regret it. Becky's even more protective of me than Brett." Becca had just come back into town, and Maxi actually intended to meet her at the Jack Kit in the next few days. It had been a long time since she had seen Becca, but she knew how the cop would react to August. Her smile was playful and she titled her head back to suck another oyster down. "Is there anyone I should be wary of when it comes to you? A crazy ex or a stalker, maybe?" The smile on her face became flirtatious as she asked the question. "I don't want to have to beat someone down," she teased with a laugh afterward. She could imagine August had broken many hearts in his day, a few of which might even be vengeful. In actuality, though, she was just making a joke.

"Becky." He tested the name out softly, hating it. What was with women, or anyone, shortening their names? Rebecca was classic, beautiful..Becky sounded like someone coughing up phlegm. He didn't mention it to his gazelle, though. He would simply call her by her true name, as he did Maxine, if ever he was introduced to her, which he wasn't sure he would. He didn't care to meet anyone in Maxine's life. She was enough. Always.
"You certainly fancy hanging around law enforcement." He'd done his fair share of research on Mr. Dawson the previous evening, and he knew, though Maxine had not told him, that he worked for the law. "Are you trying to send a message?" He asked, raising a brow. But she was asking about his crazy exes and he only laughed.
"Maxine, I don't have a crazy ex. I don't have an ex at all." He smirked and reached for another oyster, sliding it down. "Despite my mothers wishes, settling down is difficult for me." He didn't want her getting ideas now of the two of them doing the white picket fence, 2.5 children and collie thing. It wasn't his bag. Not now, not ever. She was his, it was plain and simple, and when things grew dull, as they were bound to do, he would drop her. They would part ways and he was certain it would be mutual, and if it wasn't, well, it wasn't. It all depended.
"The only person you need to fear is me." There was a tinge of humor in his tone and he grinned at her. Really he meant what he said. She should fear him. Not so much because he would physically harm her, but because in his own way he was cruel and destructive. He had a tendency to become cold and distant. He was possessive and bossy and severely demanding. He had high expectations he expected others to live up to, Maxine not only included, but especially. He set rules and expected them to be obeyed, and if not there were consequences. Maxine would be in a world of shit if she dared brought that mongrel home again and he found out, or if she went to his home or anywhere private. He would destroy Dawson in a second without a second thought.
"I enjoy oysters." He said suddenly, reaching for another. "The fresh taste of the sea, the slippery, silky texture... I can think of something with similar qualities I enjoy very, very much."

"Maxine, I don't have a crazy ex. I don't have an ex at all. Despite my mother's wishes, settling down is difficult for me."
Maxi smiled to hear August laugh, but the rest of what he said made her feel a little conflicted. Was she expecting marriage proposals after two weeks? She would need to lock herself in a padded room if she was. But had she wondered if there was a possibility of something more serious between her and August? Only about three hundred times. The fact that he had no exes to speak of disappointed her. Obviously he didn't do relationships. She didn't know how old he was, but if he hadn't had an ex in as many years as he had been alive, then she doubted he would change for her. She reached for another oyster to take her mind off it.
"The only person you need fear is me." This made Maxi smile again, wide and flirty. It wasn't that she didn't fear August. She did to some extent. But she also had a feeling that any challenge he set before her, she would rise up to meet it. In school, Maxi had been a teacher's pet; nothing had really changed over the years. She did her best to please those around her, and August especially so. In return, she knew he would please her, even without asking. It was best not to press his buttons, though. Whatever limits she pushed, outside of the bedroom, she did so unwittingly. With August it was trial by fire, but she was very good not to get burned more than necessary.
"I enjoy oysters." The comment took her aback, and she cocked her head to the side in confusion briefly, a baffled smile on her face. Why make that announcement so suddenly? "The fresh taste of the sea, the slippery, silky texture...I can think of something with similar qualities I enjoyvery, very much." His suggestive tone made her grin wickedly, though a small blush came to her pale cheeks. "Perhaps that's why they say oysters are an aphrodisiac," she replied softly, reaching for another oyster. She tipped it back, sucking it down before looking back to August. "Though if it's the texture you like so much, I'm not sure I would enjoy what it is you're referring to." Maxi said this with a playful shrug, resting her hands in her lap again, done with the oysters. Under the table, though, she let one shoe slip from her foot and she slid her bare foot under his pant leg, teasing him. The tablecloth reached to the ground on either side of the table, so nobody would notice unless they were really looking. As her soft foot dragged along his skin, she smiled amorously from across the table. It only lasted a minute, though, and she was slipping her shoe back on, crossing her legs once more.

Her blush was soon becoming a favorite of his. He knew he struck a nerve when her cheeks flushed. It was how he knew he had gotten a rise from her, and he knew exactly where she was feeling it. Her pinkness made his arrogant smile spread wide, a wicked gleam in his eyes.
"Though if it's the texture you like so much, I'm not sure I would enjoy what it is you're referring to."
He was enjoying himself far too much. "That's quite alright, Miss McManus. I delight in it, which is all that really matters, now isn't it?" He raised a brow and enjoyed the last oyster as he felt her foot snake up his leg. He gazed across the table at her, stilling himself as he enjoyed the contact.
"Careful, Maxine." He warned formidably. "If you continue that and you might not make it to dessert." It was a pleasant threat, one he wanted nothing more than to fulfill. "Patience is a virtue." He reminded with a smirk and looked on as a young man came and cleared their appetizers. "Have more wine." He insisted, topping off her glass.
He sipped his own wine, his eyes practically undressing her from his spot at the table. "I think we need to change topics, or I won't let you have a chance to eat supper." He cleared his throat, and relaxed in his chair, reclining a bit. "What do you do during the hours you're free from me?" He inquired, raising a brow. He wanted to know what sort of mischief she was getting into when he wasn't capable of keeping an eye on her. He didn't like anyone else having her time. "Aside from associating with Scriptor Bays finest security force." He added sarcastically.

"Careful, Maxine. If you continue that, you might not make it to dessert."
Maxi giggled mischievously, running a hand through her hair to avoid from blushing any more than she already was. She knew he meant it too, despite his playful tone. "Patience is a virtue." His reminder made her squint playfully at him, since that was her original advice. She wasn't feeling very virtuous at the moment. Why did he have to be so sexy?
When a young man came to the table to clear it, she threw him a quick smile and allowed August to refill her glass. She didn't need more wine, but she could taste how expensive it was, so she would enjoy it. The expensiveness of the restaurant was starting to bother her less, though not by very much. Perhaps it was the wine helping her forget just how much money August was pouring into this date. And for what? He had already been in her pants...several times. More than she could count, really. It was simply to treat her. She felt so adored, and while it was strange, she enjoyed it while it lasted.
"I think we need to change topics, or I won't let you have a chance to eat supper." Maxi laughed and took a sip of her wine. It really was good. "What do you do during the hours you're free from me? Aside from associating with Scriptor Bay's finest security force." The redhead shot August a playfully warning look, though she couldn't help but find the humor in it. She found it a little endearing that he was poking fun at the SBPD simply because Brett was a member of it; at least, she assumed that was why. Maybe he had had some run-ins with the law. She figuratively shrugged it off and moved on.
"You might be surprised, but I'm actually a bit of a bore," she teased, though she knew she really was a bore. She didn't do anything exciting. "I mostly spend time at the school. I give out way too much homework, so I always have something to grade, and I do a lot of tutoring, and the assistant principal always manages to find me for help on a project. They're trying to get me to supervise the school newspaper, but I'm not so sure I want to take anything else on. Other than that, I'm at home reading a book or watching a movie most of the time. Sometimes singing. I don't sing in public, though. I have awful stage fright." She gave a bashful little smile. She wasn't sure why she told him about her hidden talent; it just kind of poured out of her. "What do you do in your hours free from me?" she retorted, giving a playful smile before she took a sip of her wine. He wasn't going to keep putting the focus on her; she would make sure of that.

"You might be surprised, but I'm actually a bit of a bore," His smile actually grew to one of amusement. He knew she was definitely a dreary person outside of their time in the bedroom, but he was starting to not only get used to it, but like it to some degree. He didn't need to worry about her extra curricular activities. Her mild nature made her easy to trust, but it also made her naive and an easy target for mongrels like Mr. Dawson, or worse; himself.
"..and the assistant principal always manages to find me for help on a project." His brows creased at this and he frowned slightly as she continued on about the assistant principals special "projects" for her. Was this assistant principal a man or a woman? He felt jealousy creep through him, making him uneasy. Were they trying to get her alone? Why did they have the need to compromise her spare time? Time that should be hers! But on the plus side if she was busy with work, she wasn't busy with Dawson or doing other things he disapproved of.
"What do you do in your hours free from me?" She pulled him from his own thoughts and he looked at her silently for a moment, processing her question. "Run, read, listen to music, visit my family, find sex starved girls in liquor stores.." He teased and rolled his shoulders. "What most men do." Of course the last part had mostly been a joke. He did find sex starved women, but not ones like Maxine and not in liquor stores. Not usually.
"So this assistant principal.." He started when their server came and places their meals before them. August didn't take his eyes off Maxine though, staying silent until their disruption left. "Are his intentions more honorable than mine?" He asked, raising a brow, gazing deep into her eyes subtly asking if this person was a threat or not.

"Run, read, listen to music, visit my family, find sex starved girls in liquor stores...What most men do." Maxi laughed, knowing she was the "sex starved girl" August was referring to. "I wasn't 'sex starved.' I was decidedly celibate," she protested playfully. She liked that visiting his family was on that list, though. It made him just a little softer in her mind. She took a sip of wine, hardly noticing the young man bringing their entrees. August was the focus of her attention right now and probably would be for the rest of the evening.
"So this assistant principal." Maxi wasn't sure where he was going with that, but she was distracted by the food arriving. It smelled so good, and she smiled up at the young man serving their dinners, thanking him for bringing it. She felt her stomach growling at just the smell, but August distracted her with another question. "Are his intentions more honorable than mine?" Maxi had to smile at how ridiculous that notion was. The assistant principal, after her? She wouldn't be surprised really, but the man had absolutely no chance and she believed he was aware of that. "He's never indicated any intentions other than getting my help doing menial tasks that he would rather not be bothered with and which I don't mind getting overtime for. That or getting me to proofread documents going to the school board. On top of which, he's happily married. He's talked to me about his wife a couple times. So there's no need to worry about him snatching up your Maxine," she replied, her tone playful at the end. Honestly, though, she was starting to get a little concerned about whether she could be around any man without him getting suspicious.
She proceeded to lay her cloth napkin in her lap and start on her dinner. It was as delicious as it smelled. She wasn't a big fan of vegetables, but even they were savory and full of wonderful flavor. Maybe it was worth the price. She sighed her approval with a smile, glancing up at August. The redhead still had a hard time believing how comfortable she was with August. He was intimidating and sometimes downright scary, yet she still felt able to be playful with him, such as referring to herself as "your Maxine." But she was his. She couldn't say he was her August, but it did go the other way around. At least for now.
"I have a feeling you're going to have me followed to see all my comings and goings," she teased with a smile before popping another scallop in her mouth. Really, it wouldn't surprise her if he did end up having her followed, but she dared whoever he hired to find anything on her or the people she saw on a regular basis. She wasn't nervous at the prospect, just a little concerned for August's paranoia. With her fork, she indicated her meal and asked sweetly, "Would like to try it? It's delicious."

As Maxine indicated the assistant principal was a man, he felt his guard go up instinctively, like a dog who saw an intruder on his territory. It didn't matter that he was "happily" married. August needed more fingers to count the unfaithful men he knew who were in committed relationships with a mistress on the side. Happiness in a marriage did not indicate monogamy.
"So there's no need to worry about him snatching up your Maxine," His mood suddenly eased when she referred to herself as his. It pleased him to hear and he calmed down some, smiling once more, but only a slight smile, the corners of his lips curling up ever so gently.
"I have a feeling you're going to have me followed to see all my comings and goings," August cocked a brow. It was actually a fantastic idea. "Perhaps I will." He threatened, his tone playful though he was dead serious. He liked the idea. Very much. He would see who she was conferring with, and make sure she would abide by his guidelines for her when it came to Dawson or any man, really. Especially this most recent threat, her superior at work. It was just one more way to claim her as his own. He would look into a private investigator tomorrow.
August enjoyed watching her eat there at the Blue Scallop. She was beautiful, but what more she was truly enjoying her meal and herself. The way she slid a scallop into her mouth was sexy and seductive and he watched before taking a bite of his own meal. "Would like to try it? It's delicious."
"I've had it." He told her softly after he swallowed. "Many times. Enjoy." He encouraged. August allowed the silence to take over them for a moment, though it wasn't suffocating. In fact, it was nice, inviting even. "Don't fill up too much." He said after some time of watching her eat. "I have dessert." He grinned impishly at her and took another bite of shrimp. "But only if you're well behaved." He added in a slightly authoritative voice. "I certainly wouldn't want to condone bad behavior from my Maxine."

Maxi smiled when August encouraged her to eat more. She was glad that even with how assertive he was and sometimes downright controlling, he wasn't one of those men that would force their woman on a diet. Maxi had never had issues with her weight, but she liked that August didn't "suggest" a salad for dinner or ask whether she should really be eating pizza. It was a good thing because Maxi had a healthy appetite. There was a silence that fell over them as they ate, but it was a comfortable silence. Soft music was playing in the restaurant and Maxi found herself enjoying as she ate and enjoying the lull in their conversation.
"Don't fill up too much." For a moment, Maxi reconsidered her adoring thoughts about August not caring about her diet. She realized quickly that he didn't mean his suggestion that way, though. "I have dessert." Maxi could tell what that dessert was by the way he smiled at her and it made her blush a little, her own smile creeping across her face. She giggled softly, amused by the thought, even as it made the butterflies flutter around her stomach. It was strange how August still made her jittery with excitement. "But only if you're well behaved. I certainly wouldn't want to condone bad behavior from my Maxine." Maxi giggled again, scooping another bit of rice and shrimp on her fork. "But of course. I'm always well-behaved," she teased with a little shrug before placing her fork in her mouth. Once more, her foot slipped out of her shoe under the table. This time, though, she didn't run her foot under his pant leg, but instead slowly let it creep up his leg, over his knee, and just barely along his thigh. She bit her lip with a coy smile before she let her foot travel slowly back along the course it originally took. When her foot reached his, she retracted it and put her shoe back on.
She placed her fork down, actually feeling pretty full, but she still had a quarter of her plate left. Well, she would have leftovers later, at least. It helped also that her stomach was clenching with excitement. "What is this dessert, by the way?" she asked with coy curiosity. She knew what the dessert was. She just wanted to be a tease.

"But of course. I'm always well-behaved," He raised a brow at her and gave her an incredulous look. "I beg to differ." He offered dubiously as he felt her foot on his leg. "Speaking of begging.." He sat there, relaxed, as her foot traveled up his leg and to his knee, slowly, teasingly, suggestively... He nearly grabbed her foot, but instead he sat and watched her instead, his eyes locked on hers. His skin tingled under his pants leg and he forced another bite of his supper as if to pretend he wasn't bothered by her actions. He chewed slowly and swallowed, but truth be told he was finished. He was only hungry for her.
"What is this dessert, by the way?" August knew immediately by the way she phrased the question that she thought she was the dessert. In a way, she was partially correct.
He tsked softly at her and shook his head disapprovingly. "Maxine, if I told you there would be little to no anticipation." He said with mock exasperation. "You will simply need to wait." He chastised like she were a child. "And slide that foot up my leg again and you will without a doubt not receive dessert, and trust me, you'd like to have it. If I'm willing to share." He cocked a brow as the waitress came and he asked for the check while she cleared their plates.
"Why don't you show me how well behave you are and go wash up while I take care of this." He said smoothly, the look in his eyes telling her not to dare defy him. August pulled his wallet out as Maxine left for the restroom and checked over the tab. He then pulled out crisp, clean bills and set them inside the receipt pocket, leaving a decent sized tip. He stood, and smoothed his suit before making his way towards the restrooms. He looked over his shoulder once to make sure no one was around before opening the door.
The bathroom was draped in neon blue light like the rest of the restaurant, each stall a small room with a full door shutting off the rest of the lavatory from it. August folded his hands behind his back and grinned darkly at the red haired woman at the sink, glad no one else seemed to be in there at the moment. At least not by the sinks.
He stood silent for a moment and then stepped forward. "I believe I promised to defile you here." His voice was low and husky and he raised a hand and waved it towards the stalls. "After you."

Maxi was amused by August's tone when he spoke, chastising her like a child. "And slide the foot up my leg again and you will without a doubt not receive dessert, and trust me, you'd like to have it. If I'm willing to share." She pouted a little, sticking her bottom lip out slightly, but she straightened when the waitress came back, slightly embarrassed. Again, she thanked the waitress for taking their plates, and Maxi went to take the napkin off her lap.
"Why don't you show me how well behaved you are and go wash up while I take care of this." The redhead was confused for a moment, not sure why he would want her to wash up, but then she understood. Her cheeks turned a dainty shade of pink as she smiled with recognition and made her way towards the bathrooms. She wasn't entirely sure if she wanted to have sex in public, but there was something thrilling about it. Clutching her purse a little tightly, she made her way to the restroom. There was nothing suspicious about her going into the ladies' restroom, at least.
She went to the counter and made sure her make-up was still decent and checked her teeth for any leftovers from dinner. Popping a mint in her mouth, she chewed it quickly before August showed up, fixing her hair as the mint chilled her mouth. Now to wait. Part of her couldn't believe she was doing this, but the other part of her was too thrilled to stop now. The latter part was stronger.
When the door opened, she looked over with wide eyes and had to swallow the nervous lump in her throat. Damned if he wasn't sexy, though. "I believe I promised to defile you here...After you." Maxi smiled bashfully and made her way to the largest a stall on the end. "You're not going to lock that door?" she asked, indicating the door to the bathroom. She would be mortified if anyone came in and heard them. Maxi had found it was impossible to be quiet with August inside her. Knowing him, though, he was probably hoping they would get caught. With flushed cheeks, she entered the stall, knowing full well what her fate was.

"You're not going to lock that door?"
His steps after her were slow and deliberate. "And call attention to the fact we're in here? No. You'll simply need to learn to keep that mouth of yours shut." He shut the stall door behind him and slid the bolt on the door shut. That one he locked. "And if you find it difficult to keep quiet, I'm sure I can figure something else out."

____________________________________________________
Maxi let August tidy her up with an amused smile. He could be paternal at times, which she found slightly adorable, though she was sure he didn't mean it that way. She lightly brushed the sweat of her forehead to hide her exertion.
"I'll stay here. Go make sure no one's coming." She smiled wider and ran her hands over her dress one more time as he opened the stall door. She was making her way past him and almost out of the stall when she felt a strong arm come about her waist. Turning in his arm, bringing her hands to his face, Maxi giggled when his mouth pressed to hers, swept away by him. His hand on her butt made her make a soft squealing sound, the rough pinch almost painful. When he released her and gently pushed her away, smacking her ass playfully, she smiled back at him as she clicked to the door. "Go. Let me know when it's safe." She felt like a teenager sneaky her boyfriend into her house for the first time. It was a little thrilling and totally unlike Maxi.
She opened the door and poked her head out, looking to make sure there was no one close. Just then a man was walking out of the men's room next door, and she quickly shifted so she stood half in and half out of the bathroom, trying not to look so suspicious. She gave a bashful smile to the man, who checked her out briefly, smiling and nodding. Little did he know, the guy she was with was coming out right behind her. When he was out of eye sight, Maxi waved her hand for August to make his escape quickly. As he breezed past her, she matched his pace, wrapping her arm in his. She felt so slick, but slightly embarrassed. She wondered if anyone knew what had just happened between them, but stopped herself, knowing it was a silly thought. Her smug smile turned up to August before she looked straight again, nodding and smiling as the wait staff bid them farewell. How was it that sex with August could make her feel so...rejuvenated? When they stepped outside, she was reminded again of what had just happened as the cool night air found its way up the skirt of her dress. "I'm cold," she said under her breath, narrowing her eyes playfully at August. He was holding her panties hostage, and in that moment, she wanted them back.

When Maxine waved to him he moved briskly through the neon tinted room, tugging his jacket tight around him as he slipped out the door. He felt her eyes on him, seeing the smile from the corner of his eyes as he looked forward, her arm draped through his. He escorted her casually through the restaurant and out the front door, his valet key ready. It was if nothing had just happened at all.
When outside he approached the valet attendant and offered the key so his car might be returned to him. "I'm cold," He peered down at her, noting her playful tone. It took a moment for him to realize what she meant, judging by the look in her eyes. He grinned devilishly. "You should have checked the weather before we left. Then you would have known to bring a sweater." Came his coy reply. Acting the gentleman he pulled his suit jacket off and moved to slide it over her shoulders, wrapping his arms around her from behind to place it just so, his lips moving close to her ear. "If you're hinting about those panties, you might as well forget about them. Just like you, they're mine now." He breathed into her ear before pulling away, nodding casually to the valet as his Bentley pulled up. He slipped the boy a nice tip and then opened Maxi's door and smirked as she climbed in. "Probably best you cross your legs. Don't want you making a mess in my car." He whispered after her. August made his way to the drivers side and slid in easily beside his little gazelle. The car was already running, the hear running on low. Even the seats were warming up. "I hope you enjoyed your supper." I would hate for you to miss out on the rest of the evenings events."
