Species Info: The tips of her ears are pointed and boney and although her nose looks normal, she has bone in her nose so that it isn’t all cartilage. It isn’t noticeable unless you physically grab her nose.

Features: Penelope has very long features. Her nose is skinny and a little pointy, her heart shaped face framed by curly blonde hair that goes past her shoulders and a pair of light blue eyes.

Ethnicity: Irish/European descent
Marks/Tattoos/Visible Scars: She has faded scars all up and down her arms, wrists and hands from her time studying to become a Guardian.

Flaws/Weaknesses: From time to time Penelope is known to have a bitchy side which it seems nobody ever listens to. She can get emotional and turn into a royal bitch if she feels like it. She also has a mild phobia of insects and germs that can prevent her from what she’s doing. She’s mistaken for a stereotypical ‘dumb blonde’ a lot of the time but she refuses to change the color of her hair even if it does seem to be a setback sometimes.
Skills/Strengths: Penelope is very brave and will throw herself in the line of fire if she thinks it would help whatever her cause is. She’s strong willed and loves being independent. She’s also a bit of a charmer who can sweet talk her way through difficult situations. She uses her looks to her advantage.

Other Information: Gargoyle or not, Penelope is very kind in her own little way. She has a hard side that shows when she needs to get a point across but it doesn’t come out often. She loves to socialize and walks around with a little pep in her step most days.

History:
Penelope came from a very unconventional family. She knew that they were different even at a very young age. Her mother, Susan, was a guardian who had the duty of working security for the men and women in Gargoyle politics. It was at this job that she met Penelope’s father, George. George was the man that Susan had been sworn to protect, and as far as Penelope knew they fell in love a lot like Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner did in The Bodyguard. Except George, Susan and Penelope didn’t receive a happy ending.
When Penelope was in her teenage years her father decided that it was time for him to leave his family. He explained that he was tired of living a lie and that he deserved happiness, something he couldn’t have with Susan. His reason? He was gay. Although the news was hard for Susan to swallow she promised she would try her best to accept it and not hold it against the man she loved. They had a daughter to think of after all. And the news - as shocking as it may have been - didn’t affect Penelope’s growth in any way. Her father still showered her with love as did her mother. The only difference was her father didn’t live with them anymore and had to come over if ever she needed him. And that was exactly what he did.
As Penelope grew into a young woman she found herself preparing for the training that all Gargoyles must go through. “Pick a career,” she had been told by her mother. “Pick what will make you happy.” Penelope could see the look in her mother’s eyes, wanting her daughter to follow in her footsteps and become a strong guardian. But it was politics that made Penelope happy, and the political career was most definitely well suited for her! She was her father’s daughter.
Now, Penelope lives on her own but has her parents over frequently for dinner or shopping dates. Her father brings over his partner and her mother remains alone by choice. Penelope is sure that her mother never got over her father leaving, but she puts on a happy face and does what she must to keep Penelope happy.
As far as her political career goes she has found herself a nice position as a secretary. She’ll likely never become a leader but she’s perfectly okay with that. She enjoys working as a secretary and she’s a damn good one! Penelope still looks young and beautiful, even at the age of 65, and in a job where she needs to run errands and sometimes do the impossible, her looks make anything possible.
