ALYSSA MARIBELLA COLLINS Born to a family full of money, various cultures, and many secrets, Alyssa is like all of the Collins: strange. Her strangeness stems from her intelligence, which is nothing short of impressive. Her IQ, in fact, is estimated to be 187 points. She's a freaking genius. Everything would have been fine if she wasn't such a perfectionist. She has spent most of her life organizing things and making sure that everything and anything around her is devoid of any imperfections. Alyssa also has the symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder and, while her parents never looked into this, it's believed she does suffer from this. Along with her mysophobia--a fear of germs and dirt and contamination--Alyssa is one of the cleanliest people you'll ever meet. It's gotten to the point where she won't even leave her house for days or will spend twenty minutes washing her hands. She is also very weak when it comes to alcohol; all it takes is less than half a bottle to make her "fun." She's only been drunk once and it resulted in a massive hangover, a tattoo, and several make-out sessions with both girls and guys. Most people would call her abnormal. The Collins call her family.
During her entire twenty-one years of living, Alyssa has never made many friends. She's not exactly anti-social, but she is very reserved and passive. She rarely speaks to the few friends that she does have and they still don't know much about her. You'd have to be very patient with Alyssa before she finally considers you to be a friend, and even that doesn't necessarily mean she'll refer to you as a "friend." Being a very intelligent person, it's not surprising that Alyssa enjoys having intellectual conversations rather than who's dating who in the world of celebrities. But that all changes once she's drunk. Once that happens, all you have to do is tell her your name for her to think of you as a friend.
Alyssa isn't a very romantic person. She doesn't like watching romantic-comedies or taking long walks on the beach. All she likes to do is read, study, and make everything perfect. Because she is currently in her sixth year of university and plans on becoming a neurosurgeon--and, if possible, she hopes to obtain several other degrees in physics and chemistry--Alyssa doesn't have time to flirt or go on dates. If you want her to notice you, you'll have to do something really special. Or you can just get her drunk.
Despite her passive personality, Alyssa does actually have some enemies. They, however, only dislike her because of her intelligence. Not only does she have a very high IQ, but she also has an eidetic memory. Other people dislike her because of how much of a perfectionist she is. And the rest don't like Alyssa because of how strange she is. Being a passive person, she doesn't go around making enemies. All of her enemies come to her. However, it's when she's drunk that the passiveness disappears. This is when she has no problem fighting someone. So if you want to be Alyssa's enemy, it's best if you don't give her alcohol.

Alyssa is the yin to my yang.
No but really, I totally see her and Emelia being weird, quirky friends. Emelia is actually a year younger than Alyssa, so they probably had some classes together growing up if Lyss went to public school. At least in the early grades around the playground and whatnot. That's if you want to go the "we've been best buds forever" route.
OR
They could be new friends, who meet somewhere and somehow end up getting along. Emelia is kind of quirky and sometimes she likes to yell at the Tree, but all in all she's a harmless fun girl who just likes to have a good time no matter what. She's not the sharpest tool but that's probably a good thing in this case. Let me know what you think!

Although she's in the camps right now, Claire and Alyssa I could see being acquaintances. Claire's friendly but she's a little awkward. She'd understand Alyssa's OCD. Not that Claire is OCD but she is a little neurotic and tends to freak out over small things.
I say acquaintances because I know Alyssa doesn't have many friends from what you say, and Claire has been a little preoccupied lately to really be making new friends. But when she gets out of the camps (or should I say if?) she works at the museum as an event planner/secretary/tour guide/whatever her boss tells her to be.

I'm just going to throw Gus at Alyssa for you to decide whether friend or enemy.
Gus can be really obnoxious. He's vulgar and doesn't care about whether or not he offends someone, but it's obvious by the level of his vulgarity whether he thinks of them as a friend. He's pretty straight forward about whether he doesn't like someone though and he'll tell them right to their face. He's not the sort to talk behind your back he'll just call you a twat right to your face.
Also, he seems to think he's Scottish and talks with an accent sometimes, even though he's not. He's not at all.

Alyssa&Emilia: BFFs!! These two are gonna be so much fun together! I'm liking the "we've been friends forever" thing because Alyssa only has a few friends. It'll be fun if one of those friends is Emilia. Alyssa probably did attend public school for awhile before she started skipping grades and all that. Maybe they haven't seen each other for some time because of that? Alyssa might even miss Emilia. And maybe Emilia is the one who got Alyssa drunk that night. Could be fun!!
Alyssa&Claire: Acquaintances sounds fun! When and if Claire gets out of the camps, Alyssa will definitely ask Claire if she can give her a special pass to the museum or something. She's a big fan of museums and history, so they could possibly start to get to know each other better. And Alyssa will always be there if Claire needs to talk to someone. She's a great listener, just not great at giving advice.
Alyssa&Gus: I just love him!!! His vulgarity is awesome! Alyssa isn't one to get into arguements, so if Gus says anything, she'll just nod or ignore him. I'm guessing that might piss him off, which would be really fun. The more angrier someone gets, the more oblivious Alyssa becomes. So they could be awkward friends or awkward enemies. ;D

Alyssa&James: Art is something Alyssa appreciates, so she won't be as reserved with James. And I'm sure she can try to convince him to once again become a U.S citizen. I'll make her xD She hasn't ever fallen for anyone, but it might be fun with James. Plus, English accents are hot! ;D
Alyssa&Griffin: She'll love talking to Griffin! Intellectual conversations are totally her thing. They could probably start out as acquaintances and then eventually become friends.

Alyssa&Gavin: She'll be really confused since flirting is completely beyond her. The most Alyssa will do is give him a blank look and then walk away. But it still sounds like fun because it could be awkward. And awkward moments are the best. ;D

These two could be such good friends! When she gets out of the camps, that is. She works at the thrift shop on Peanut Street and is as friendly as can be! She's also bright and would enjoy discussing anything and everything with Alyssa. They could have wonderful conversations together. And sometimes Flynn doesn't get the jokes of others. Sometimes it takes her a little bit to realize that they're trying to be funny but eventually she gets it. Maybe Flynn can help her understand jokes and sarcasm a little better?
