HADLEY ANNE FRASER
__________________________________________________________
Play by: Natalie Portman
Race/Species: Avisaille
Species Info: Hadley looks just like any other human woman, except for the peacock-like wings protruding from her back.
D.O.B.: 4 November 1979
Age they appear: late teens, early twenties
Actual age: 32
__________________________________________________________
Level: Not a witch ("I'm not a witch, I'm your wife...")
Elementalists Magic Not an Elementalist either!
__________________________________________________________
Features: Hadley has a heart-shaped face with clear skin and a cherubic little mouth. Her eyes are wide and brown and very doe-like. She is petite, standing at only five feet and three inches, with a slender frame and long fingers. She has a big smile that she wears often, though she does have a pretty darn good death glare when the need for it arises.
Sexual Preference [Optional]: Straight as a board.
Ethnicity: Lebanese
Marks/Tattoos/Visible Scars: A tattoo of a spinal column along her actual spine.
__________________________________________________________
Flaws/Weaknesses: Hadley is quiet and reserved, so she doesn't always share her emotions or feelings. This leads to a lot of bottled anger and emotion, so Hadley blows up occasionally. It's rare that it happens, but when it does, expect a mushroom cloud. In addition, she is almost too nice, which means people take advantage of her sweet nature and sometimes make her do things for them, even if she doesn't want to. She just doesn't like to tell someone "no."
Skills/Strengths: Hadley is very smart. She is a math and science genius, and even though this led to her being isolated in school, she uses it to her advantage many times. She is also very caring, and would go to the ends of the earth to help someone out.

Other Information: Ummmm... I hate doing apps, because I just build my character as I go... can I come back and edit this part later?

History: Hadley was born in 1979 to Lebanese father Jean Phillippe Shami and his Irish wife, Colleen Fraser. They lived in the rural midwest, where her father JP was a Catholic priest and Colleen worked as a middle school science teacher. Because of her academic mother, Hadley learned to spend much of her time working hard to achieve high marks in school, and was influenced by her father to be a strong Catholic, though she left the Catholic church in high school and went the way of the Non-Denom-ers.
Hadley went to college at Sarah Lawrence in New York, where she graduated with a degree in Math with a Physics minor. She worked as a TA at the University for two years before accepting a job in Scriptor Bay as a junior high math teacher. She kept the job for three years before leaving the academic world and, clueless about what to do with her degree, put it through the shredder and took a job waiting tables at a local seafood joint.
Now Hadley bar-tends at The Blue Scallop, and makes more in a year than she did in her whole teaching career. She doesn't love the job, but she is comfortable there and doesn't want to go through the hassle of switching jobs again. She works part time as a tutor for junior high and high school students, which she does enjoy very much.
RP Sample: Carolina threw the last of the luggage into the back of the rental car, and made her way back up the long, sloping driveway to the front door of her parents' southern Antebellum-style plantation house. She'd been trying to get Araziel to leave for the past hour, but over the course of their trip to Carolina's home, he'd formed quite a rapport with Mrs. Vaught, and presently the two could be found in the kitchen, overhauling the spice rack.
As Carolina made her way into the house and toward the kitchen to tell Azi for the fourth time that it was time to leave, her father, Mortimer Vaught, appeared out of his office and stepped into her path.
"So you're really serious about this Azazel guy," he said coolly, his voice revealing his obvious distate for the thought. Carolina had truly meant to tell her parents that she wasn't actually engaged to Araziel, and that it had all been a miscommunication, but she'd just never gotten around to it. Translation: she was too scared, so she just didn't do it.
"Yeah, I am," she said firmly, and she realized as she said it that she meant it. She didn't know if Araziel was totally on board with their blossoming relationship- in fact, she was pretty sure he was only playing along in front of her parents for her benefit -but she had been coming to terms with the desire to be with Azi ever since the blow-up at the manse that night.
While she still felt a deep love for Lucien in her heart, it wasn't the same feeling she'd felt when they'd first become a couple. It was more of a familial affection, and less like that of a lover. With Araziel, however... ever since the night they'd spent together in California, the night he'd first bitten her... well, something had changed that night, and the idea of a life without Azi seemed a miserable one indeed.
"Look, Dad, you haven't exactly been a father for the past, oh, say, ten years, so don't start trying now, okay?" She wasn't accusing Mortimer of anything, but at the same time, she wasn't about to let him start babying her now. She could make her own decisions.
"Don't go there, Carolina. We had no idea where you were-"
"And never bothered to look," she completed the sentence for him.
"That's hardly fair!" Mr. Vaught's voice was getting louder, and Carolina's tone matched his when she replied.
"Really? Because it wouldn't have been that hard, seeing as I was less than two hours away from you for nine of the ten years!"
It was at this point that Mrs. Vaught poked her head out of the kitchen at the sound of raised voices, and made her way dow the hall to where her daughter and husband fought.
"Y'all are certainly having a heated discussion," she observed in her quiet way, trying to use her calm demeanor to diffuse the situation.
"It's less of a discussion and more of a 'Dad's being a little-'"
"Watch your mouth, young woman!"
"Don't tell me what to do when you couldn't have cared less for the past decade! If you'd wanted to find me, you could have called my goddamn cell phone, seeing as I had it on me the whole time and my number hasn't changed since I was twelve!"
Carolina's face was brightening, an angry flush creeping into her cheeks with every shouted word. She wished very much that Araziel would come in and at least provide a diversion. Perhaps he would even be ready to leave now.
