Species Info: Cadence’s ears are slightly pointed at the tops. She often keeps her hair covering her ears to hide this, but it doesn’t stand out too much if she pulls it back. It looks more like a slight deformity and doesn’t call a great amount of attention to what she is.

Features: Cadence has wavy dirty blond hair that runs down to her shoulders. Her eyes are a deep green and she has a small build, thin and standing 5’5”.

Flaws/Weaknesses: She is a quiet wallflower, but will speak up when she feels strongly about something. She’s on the submissive side and thought she’s quiet, she can lash out at times without thinking. She can be very naïve and often thinks she’s being more aloof than she is.
Skills/Strengths: Cadence can stand up for herself. She’s small, and seemingly weak, but she fears very little which is why she has not problem working alongside the Gargoyle leader and plotting his downfall. She’s also very intelligent and can be witty.

History:
Cadence was not, technically, an only child but she never met the brother she had. Jude had been born nineteen years before her. Her parents had no intention of having more, but an accident resulting in the death of their only child made them reconsider, and six years after Jude’s death, Cadence came into existence.
Not a day went by that Cadence wasn’t reminded of the long lost brother she would never know. Her parents were vigilant in sheltering her from certain aspects of their world, fearing that tragedy might somehow strike them again. But tragedy never struck Cadence, and she grew up as all Gargoyle children did, but she was different it seemed. Through her parents, she became obsessed with her brother’s death. Either they never got the full story, or they never bothered to share the gruesome details. She knew it was an accident involving another boy. A boy named Robert Snow.
When it was time for Cadence to pick her path in life, it had been a no brainer. Her entire life had been devoted to learning more about her brother and avenging his death, since Cadence was convinced the accident had been anything but. She had looked into the incident deeply, finding whatever facts she could and coming to her own conclusions. She would find Snow, and she would inevitably make him pay for what he’d done to her family. This entailed her following the path of the politicians when it was time to pick her path since that was the path Snow had chosen, and he was quickly working his way up the political ladder.
Years later Cadence has successfully entered the political world and through hard work and a bit of luck she had managed to score herself the job of a lifetime; she was Robert Snow’s secretary. She was privy to all his personal information and knew of things that she shouldn’t. She was sworn to secrecy, but that didn’t necessarily stop her. She kept a book of all of Snow’s doings, intending to use it all against him when the time was right. She played her part well, and she assumed Snow had no idea of her motives. She had never given any reason to believe she might have poor intentions, and she never planned on letting him in on that secret. Not until it was too late, of course. But for now she was slowly collecting her ammo, and doing what she could to be the perfect little secretary, which often meant doing things that weren’t necessarily in the job description. But in the end, Cadence knew Jude’s death would be avenged.

Melanie explained what to expect and Kevin simply watched her as she spoke, taking mental notes. She had told him some of those things the other day, but it was good to have them fresh in his mind. "And trust me, he can smell fear, so keep your cool.” He laughed with her at the thought. "I'm not afraid." He said trying to sound confident, but he couldn't pull confident off that well, and the reality of it was that he was a little bit afraid. Kevin wasn't exactly Mr. Confident or Mr. Sociable. He could be both, but he certainly wasn't a walking billboard for either.
“Don’t worry, you’ll be fine. It’s not that hard and as long as you do what’s asked, Brandon will like you.” Kevin nodded. Sounded easy enough, really. He was good at following orders. Years of being in jobs where men liked to boss the rookie around prepared him for whatever Brandon was intending to throw at him.
“You know, you’re going to be the first guy I dated who also worked on the boat. I mean, there have been guys who liked me who worked on the boat, but I never went out with them. I guess you’re just special,” Dated? As in potentially more dates to come? You couldn't be dating someone if you only had one date. He smiled at the thought of being the only guy on the boat that had been able to kiss her. He was sure there were probably a lot. More than she realized, but would he really be the only one who had the honor?
"I actually do feel kinda special." He offered, grinning down at her. "And lucky.." She was making his head swell just a little. "You know... you can't be dating someone if you've only been on one date.." He said casually, looking down at her, his cheeks a light shade of pink. "Does that mean you might like to go on more with me? I think I'd like that.. maybe we could go over to that Isle you were talking about?" He asked hopefully, wondering how interested she might be in doing that. "Or...anywhere. You could show me around the city. I'm still sort of a tourist, yah know."
