Hadley was going to have this baby. She wasn't going to get rid of it or put it up for adoption. She was going to keep it!
Hunter didn't know how to feel about this. Sure he was going to be there for her, and he said he'd support any decision that she made. But he assumed she would give it up. That she wouldn't want the constant reminder of the drunk who knocked her up in the form of a baby. But Hunter was clearly wrong.
Now the question at hand was whether or not he'd be able to handle this. Would he be able to stare down at a baby that belonged to some other jackass? Would he be able to have a relationship with a woman who was pregnant and not by him? If someone had asked him that question yesterday he would have said they were fucking nuts. But today what was his answer going to be?
Hunter's face found their way to his hands and he leaned forward so his elbows could be propped up on his knees comfortably. He needed a moment to himself, to think about things that he didn't normally think about. Hunter was a man of the moment. Except when it came to his feelings, then he was a 'I'll tell you some other day' kind of guy. But now he had to think of what kind of long term plans this decision would make. Would he be forced to stick around if things went sour? He didn't think so. Hadley wouldn't do that to him. And he didn't see them turning sour.
When Hunter sat back up and looked over at Hadley he let out a long sigh causing his shoulders to slouch forward. He wasn't one for good posture. "Of course I'll be by your side. And I'll support any decision you make. It's just going to be a little weird. I don't know what kind of relationship we are going to have but it's going to be strange. Then again I can do strange." How could he not do strange? The girl he was in love with had wings sticking out of her back while he could set things on fire with a few simple words.
