The morning following the masquerade was a cold, dark and stormy one. The darkness that had left the tree seemed to almost contaminate the sky, absorbing the clouds and spreading like a disease. Lightning veined through the clouds all day, making them appear almost electric and as the day went on, it grew darker and darker. Rain never came, but the air was cooler, and growing more so the later it got. A dread seemed to spread through the city as people flocked to the tree to see if it was true. Had evil really been unleashed? Were the stories true? Prayer groups began popping up, solicitors handing out religious propaganda. It was like a breeding ground for those wanting to spread the word of Jesus, begging all to repent for the end of the world was fast approaching.
If that wasn’t bad enough, the darkness was beginning to mess with the Guardians. Avisailles were growing weary from the lack of sunlight as were the Blurrs. Witches spells and potions were having strange adverse effects. The Therians felt their animal instincts heightened as they often did the eve prior to a full moon and three hours before nightfall the Gargoyles woke up, groggy from their shortened slumber. As night fell the Therians shifted into their animals forms unexpectedly, thus beginning what seemed to be a new era in the lives of Guardians.
It looked as though Mordecai was going to get his way after all; the Guardians would surely be revealed now.
UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE THESE RULES REGARDING GUARDIANS WILL BE IN AFFECT
Therianthropes: Therians will constantly be on the verge of changing. Every night will be like the full moon, which means their animal traits while human will be amplified as it normally would be the eve of a full moon. Every evening they will force shift into their animal form.
Avisailles: Avi’s will grow weak with the lack of sunlight. They might feel ill, their feathers may molt and many will feel an overwhelming sense of melancholy. Flying will not be impossible, but their bodies may be too weak to take flight.
Blurrs: Blurrs will grow weak like the Avisailles, but less so. They will be unable to shift into their invisible form.
Witches: Witches will feel the electricity in the air since they are so in tune with nature. They will each react differently to the change in atmosphere, some potentially becoming depressed, others maybe borderline psychotic. Some may not be affected at all. It is up to the human player’s discretion, but their magic will be weakened and they may end up with strange results when using it.
Humans: Humans may feel the electricity in the air. Like with witches, they will each react differently to the change in atmosphere, some potentially becoming depressed, others maybe borderline psychotic. Some may not be affected at all. It is up to the human player’s discretion
Gargoyles: The Gargoyles will no longer shift to stone during the day. They will, for all intents and purposes, be like humans. Their speed will slow, their strength will diminish, and they will need sleep in order to function (something they’ve never had to do). Many may suffer insomnia and grow weak and ill.
The will be in affect until further notice. It will be a gradual change. I wouldn't expect your Avisailles to be molting after day one, but as time goes on your Guardians should grow weaker. Have fun with this! Be creative, and if there are questions, please direct them to a Mod.
