"...Humans are such a species that will stop at nothing to annihilate another, whether it be other humans or another species entirely."
Meg knew this to be true among the Guardians also. There were Gargoyles who were so set in destruction that they crippled everything they ever touched. She had seen it with her own eyes and was known to do it on occasion also. Her eyes narrowed as if they were focusing on his face and trying to read his expression carefully with her next words. "If they're humans like you and me, then you could be one. How do I know you're not a Guardian?"
She was almost a hundred percent positive that he wasn't, though. One of her kind wouldn't blatantly start a conversation about trying to find peace through the Guardians. It was as if he were asking for someone to execute him if that were the case. It had been known to happen a few times in the past. A Guardian wanting to tell the world and then meeting an "accidental" death.
"We are just animals, aren't we?" Meg scoffed at this and folded her arms over her chest while her eyes looked out the window to the street, hearing the horn from a car. "Good luck finding your proof. You're going to need it because I don't think you're going to end up finding anything unless they want you to." It was almost a taunting tone when she spoke about the Guardians.
Her smile seemed a little too obvious. "Just a little heads up though... I don't think they're looking for peace. Some might want to escape."

"Just a little heads up though... I don't think they're looking for peace. Some might want to escape."
"How do you know that?" Murat asked honestly. "How do you know any of what you said?" he asked. Perhaps, Murat wondered, could this person be a Guardian? How could he ever find out? It was close to impossible. Murat came to this form of realization.
After drinking more coffee, he remembered something. "Oh yes, I didn't catch your name. I'm Murat Belokiev," Murat said and extended his hand.

Murat Belokiev
This stranger was clearly not from around here. She already knew this and knew that there were a lot of tourists that came looking for the Guardians hoping they'd bring some understanding to them. Most of the others found it irritating, thinking of the tourists as nothing but a nuisance. Meg, as impatient and irritable that she was, found it amusing though. She thought it was funny how they kept coming back, thinking they would be the one to finally discover the Guardians. Only problem was they didn't know what they were looking for. They didn't know the different species or what they looked like. Except this Murat seemed smarter than most she'd met in the past.
It seemed as if at first she was ignoring his question of how she had the knowledge she did. She was actually sitting on it for a moment while introductions played out first. "Megaera Masters. My friends call me Meg."
The female got down off the table she had been sitting on and finished up her sweet meal and tossed the paper it had been wrapped in towards a trash bin. The paper bounced off the rim and landed on the floor but it didn't seem to affect her one bit. She was already heading for the door and pushing on it. The night was still young and she didn't want to waste all of it sitting around in some foreign eatery.
When she had the door propped open with one foot she looked back at Murat and raised a brow at him, watching him impatiently. "Well, are you coming? You're not going to find any Guardians hiding in here."
