"I'm not an idiot." He hadn't meant to imply that she was the idiot but it was obvious she took it that way when she retreated her hand away from his. "It's bad enough I li..." He cocked a brow at her when she trailed off and realized that she had no intention of finishing her sentence so he just let it go.
"They already think I'm nuts for not despising you. I don't need to add fuel to the fire by spouting out that I saw a rock turn human. They lock people up for less." He knew she wasn't that stupid to go and tell someone like a psychiatrist that she saw a gargoyle come to life, but he didn't know if she'd go running her mouth to her little friends. Who in turn would say something to their friends and soon word got around to the wrong people.
The waitress came back over to take their orders and Alyson said she'd just have what he was having which made him eye her curiously before he ordered the prime rib. He was really hungry and it was always nice to watch a woman who was able to eat a medium rare prime rib.
"I didn't mean just the...changing thing." He wasn't really sure what she meant until she kept talking. "I mean me being here with you, too. It's just so backwards. I mean, I wouldn't be here if I didn't kind of want to be, but just the fact that...I kind of want to be.. It's weird. It makes me feel crazy.. like I should hate you far more than I do. In fact this would be a whole lot easier if I could just hate you." That was amusing.
"It is hard to hate someone as charming and ridiculously good looking as me," he teased her and watched, expecting an eye roll from his blonde partner. "I'm not all that bad. I have a temper but I've always made that known." He leaned into the booth and put his arm along the back, making himself comfortable. The waitress came back with their drinks but he didn't bother to reach for it, he was more interested in watching Alyson.
"You don't have to stay with me tonight, after dinner if you'd like you can go home. I promised I wouldn't hold you hostage and I want to keep my word."

"It is hard to hate someone as charming and ridiculously good looking as me," Alyson made a dramatic gag face like he was nauseating her. She knew he was playing, but God was he cocky. He did have a bad temper, and she did know when not to cross a line. Usually. She wasn't so sure about where that line was these days because last time she'd crossed it and he had crossed a different line. She didn't like thinking about it.
"You don't have to stay with me tonight, after dinner if you'd like you can go home. I promised I wouldn't hold you hostage and I want to keep my word."
Just him saying that made her want to stay, but she liked playing coy. "We'll see how well you behave during dinner." She said casually, reaching for sugar and ripping a couple packets open before pouring them in. It was obvious she was messing around with him and her eyes danced up, mischief twinkling in them. She poured the cream into the cup and then leaned back holding the mug in her hands and letting it warm her skin. She wasn't cold but there was something nice about the way a hot mug of coffee felt in her hands.
"Besides, you said yourself you couldn't keep me hostage here. I'd just scream bloody murder while you were stone and someone would save me. Then you'd be screwed." She was feeling brave again and the look she was giving him was was wavering between amused and cocky.

"We'll see how well you behave during dinner."
Oh he'd behave himself alright. Enough to get through dinner at least. He watched her put the sugar into her coffee and hold onto the mug. Was she cold? It was actually nice there in the restaurant and relaxing, the light music playing in the background which was nice for when you were lacking in conversation. Although he was sure him and Alyson had plenty to say between the two of them that they didn't need the music to fill any gaping silence.
"Besides, you said yourself you couldn't keep me hostage here. I'd just scream bloody murder while you were stone and someone would save me. Then you'd be screwed."
It was apparent that Aly was feeling brave again especially since they were out in public. She knew she could get away with more and with his word of not harming her he knew this might become a habit of hers, trying to prove that she had some power in this relationship of sorts. Her expression proved him right and he couldn't help but begin to fume. He felt that she was walking on a thin line just like she had a week ago. But then he realized she was probably only trying to push his buttons in a playful way and he leaned forward, his arms resting on the table now.
"I couldn't keep you hostage because there are no doors that I can lock you behind." Slowly the sinister smile crept over his lips and he watched her, wanting to see just how she reacted to his playfulness. "I could tie you to the bed and gag you for the day, let you lay there and wait for me until the sun goes down." His voice remained low enough so that the words didn't travel further than their table. He licked his lips and realized that he was parched.
He picked up the glass and swirled the auburn liquid around causing the ice to clink against each other before he brought it to his lips and took a sip. It was strong and he knew he wouldn't need much of it to make him feel nice and warm. "One of these days we should try that." He winked at her and set the glass back down on the table.
Sebastian enjoyed watching the faces that Alyson made, wanting to take in every last one of them. He particularly liked when he made her blush or nervous. "Now that you know what I am there's no sense in me keeping you during the day. Wouldn't want you to fall behind on your studies, would we?"

"I couldn't keep you hostage because there are no doors that I can lock you behind." Her eyes narrowed at his smirk. Was he going to start this game? "I could tie you to the bed and gag you for the day, let you lay there and wait for me until the sun goes down." She gulped but tried to remain looking annoyed and challenging, rolling her eyes at him. "You'd like that, wouldn't you." She shot sarcastically, though she knew he actually probably would. The thought both excited and scared the shit out of her. Letting him have his way tied to the bed? That just sounded kinky, but maybe not for her. In theory. But not all day while he was stone! How would she eat? Go to the bathroom? She would get bored and it would become painful. "One of these days we should try that." He winked at her and she rolled her eyes. "Fat chance." She shot back, almost challenging him to try it. He wouldn't..would he? She squirmed in her seat a little and tore her eyes from him, trying desperately not to think about what that would be like.
"Now that you know what I am there's no sense in me keeping you during the day. Wouldn't want you to fall behind on your studies, would we?"
He was in a playful mood now, and she sort of liked it that way. She could be sarcastic and they could banter back and forth. It was easier than being serious or scared. This was normal for them; two like people doing the same thing. Plus it took her mind off the dirty things she thought of him. At least somewhat. "Of, so now you don't want to tie me up and gag me?" She shot back at him taking a sip of her coffee and placing the mug back down on its saucer. "And I now have to play catch up all summer thanks to you. I've already fallen behind on my schoolwork." She was glad the school had taken pity on her. Really, who wouldn't? She'd been a victim. And she was still acting like an idiot. "Plus work.." She offered and shook her head. "You better not try and keep me again. This only works if I'm free during the day."

"Fat chance." He knew she would play hard to get when it came to anything sexual and he enjoyed it much more than he'd ever admit to her. But now the idea was in his head and he wasn't going to let it go. They would try it one of these days and he had a very good feeling that she would enjoy it just as much as him if not more. But of course he let it go for now only to have her bring it right back up, "Oh, so now you don't want to tie me up and gag me?" He smirked, "I didn't say that."
"And I now have to play catch up all summer thanks to you. I've already fallen behind on my schoolwork. Plus work.." He rolled his eyes as if he could care less about whether or not she was behind. "What are you even majoring in?" He realized he didn't even know what the hell her major was. What sort of career did she want to have? Suddenly he was curious since he didn't know much about her outside of what he'd seen between the four walls of his room. "You better not try and keep me again. This only works if I'm free during the day."
"Blah blah blah," he said almost monotonously and stared at her as if he was bored of her telling him that he couldn't keep her during the day. "I'll only say it one more time. I don't plan on keeping you during a time I have no use for you. We have a deal." Sebastian was annoyed he had to repeat himself again. Was she that dense that she couldn't get it through her head that he'd shared something very intimate about himself and it was proof that he trusted her more than the average joe?
"I'll come to your place tomorrow night, and if you need it I'll help you study." He said it as if it weren't a big deal. He probably couldn't help her with everything but he knew how to read and if she showed him how he could help then he could do it. It might be boring but he could think of a few ways to spice it up. "I'll help you study but we'll do it my way. I think you'll enjoy it and I'm sure you'll be more determined to know the right answers." His lips curled up in a devilish grin at the very thought of what he planned to do to help her with her classes.

"Blah blah blah, I'll only say it one more time. I don't plan on keeping you during a time I have no use for you. We have a deal." She liked the reassurance even if he was tired of giving it. Sure, he'd said it before but then he teased he could lock her in there all day if he wanted, tied to the bed. Of course she would question his intentions with her. She had a good reason to worry about him doing something he shouldn't.
"Good." She shot back softly, sipping her coffee. There was just something about a cup of coffee that felt so good going down. She now knew why her parents always liked to have a cup after dinner, though they always drank decaf then.
"I'll come to your place tomorrow night, and if you need it I'll help you study." She raised a brow. He would help her study? Somehow she didn't think that would be fun for him and he would only distract or tease her. "I'll help you study but we'll do it my way. I think you'll enjoy it and I'm sure you'll be more determined to know the right answers." Her eyes narrowed when he began to act so cryptically.
"Oh?" She asked intrigued. "Dare I even ask what you have in mind?" She questioned though there was a part of her that wasn't sure she wanted to find out. It would probably involve something that made her uncomfortable somehow. Everything Sebastian did seemed to make her uncomfortable somehow. "This out to be good.." She added softly more under her breath as she sipped her coffee again.

"Dare I even ask what you have in mind?" Sebastian looked at her and only smiled, he wasn't about to tell her the little game that they could play. "You'll see," he told her just as the waitress was coming over with a round tray holding their meals. She set the tray down on a wooden stand and placed their dishes in front of them before asking if there was anything else they needed which Sebastian just shook his head and watched her walk away. He didn't even bother to ask Aly if she wanted anything else, she'd have to just call the waitress over again if she did.
He would have to run to the liquor store before he headed over to her place tomorrow evening, make sure to stock up on enough booze to last them the night. "So what subject are we going to be studying? Chemistry? Math? Sex Ed?" He raised a brow at her and gave his best flirty look when he said sex ed, he'd only been teasing.
Picking up his fork and knife he began to cut through the prime rib, cutting a few pieces into cubes and then setting the knife down against his plate. Stabbing at one of the cubes with the fork he popped it into his mouth and began to chew. The meat was tender and juicy without any of the fat that some of the cheaper restaurants kept on there.
"You still didn't answer me," he said out of the corner of his mouth and swallowing the chunk of meat before chasing it down with a swig of the water. "What is your major?"

"You'll see," She eyed him cautiously but didn't say anything. If he wanted to be cryptic then he could. Alyson sat silently when the waitress arrived with their meals. She got there in record time! The smell alone aroused her stomach and she felt in ping with hunger. When did she get so hungry?
When the woman left she began to cut into her asparagus first, sliding a bite into her mouth as Sebastian began speaking once more. "So what subject are we going to be studying? Chemistry? Math? Sex Ed?" Alyson narrowed her eyes slightly at his teasing. There had been a great deal of sexual tension building between them when they had spent the night together in the mall, but now? Well, it was still there now, too. She didn't want to believe it. She wanted to squelch it and shove it far, far away but how could she deny his appeal? He was cocky and sexy and extremely dangerous. It was the bad boy thing that every woman wanted, and sadly she fell into the category of every woman. She hated that.
"I believe in college it's called human sexuality, and I don't have that until next semester." It wasn't a required course, but it sounded interesting enough to her. Why not take a class on sex? You learned about disease, fetishes and reproduction. It was meant to sound dirty but it went into all the cool gory details no one wanted to talk about. "And I'm currently focusing on macroeconomics." She offered poking her meat with her fork and starting to cut into it. It looked incredible.
"You still didn't answer me," She gave him a funny look. She had just answered him, hadn't she? "What is your major?" Oh. That questions. "Music Production and Engineering." She answered bashfully. She was ready for his taunting to begin as she cut into the meat again. "I'd like to work in the music industry someday." She offered staring at the plate instead of him. "You think you know a thing or two about econ?" She asked, wondering if he would be any help at all with her studying, peaking an eye up at him as she chewed.

Macroeconomics.
He liked economics as much as he liked politics. Sebastian hated politics. It was one of those things that when home schooled, he just didn't take any interest in. But it didn't mean that he was completely clueless to what it was and what it entailed. Economics as a whole, which he thought was probably one of the most boring classes she could take up. Why couldn't she take a more exciting class? It was obvious from the face he was making he didn't like the choice of class.
"Music Production and Engineering." Now that was interesting. Alyson explained how she wanted to work in the music industry and he couldn't deny that he could definitely see her doing that sort of thing. She had that artistic look to her, like she could do anything just as long as it would spark creativity from her.
"You think you know a thing or two about econ?" He scoffed at her and then cut a piece of asparagus in half, stabbing it with his fork and eating it. He knew a thing or two alright. "Human sexuality would have been much more interesting but macroeconomics is fine. We'll just spice it up to keep it interesting," he raised his brows at her in a flirty way and continued to eat. The meal was actually really good and he was glad since he'd been starving and he hadn't realized it until he smelled the food.
"What, you think just because I'm a monster I don't have a proper education?" He asked but he was only teasing her since she didn't know how old he was or how he'd been taught. "We were home schooled since we can't go during the day. But we were given a decent education."

"Human sexuality would have been much more interesting but macroeconomics is fine. We'll just spice it up to keep it interesting," he raised his brows at her in a flirty way and she raised her own, less flirty though and more curiosity. Spice it up? How was he planning to spice it up? "What, you think just because I'm a monster I don't have a proper education?" He must have taken a hint that she was curious about him, but she never insinuated she thought he was unintelligent, though she did wonder about the specifics of what he was. Did he go to school? He couldn't have if he was stone all day, not in the typical sense. How old was he? She wasn't entirely sure she wanted to find out. It all confused her, and she wasn't ready to swallow that sort of information yet.
"Now I didn't say that." She teased coyly, sliding a piece of steak into her mouth and chewing as he answered her silent question. "We were home schooled since we can't go during the day. But we were given a decent education." It made sense. Did his mother teach him? A tutor? His father? She didn't know much about his home life other than he and his sister were orphans; at least now.
"Well you must have been if you think you'll be able to help me study econ." She said softly, reaching for her water as she watched him, but she misjudged where her hand was and picked it up wrong, making it tip over, ice water rushing towards her.
Alyson sucked in a sharp, sudden breath, surprised by the icy water that leaked onto her pants, forcing her to stand up and make the table wobble. Her bottom half was soaked from her crotch to just about her knees. She looked down at herself and then turned crimson, realizing the scene she was making. The girl looked around and then sat back down, wincing as her rear sopped up the water that had managed to get on her seat. She bit her lip from making any more noises, glaring down at her supper. "Great." She grunted, reaching for the cloth napkin which should have been on her lap, and dabbed at her pants.
"Go ahead." She grumbled, peaking miserably up at her company, "I know you have something to say. Just get it over with." He had a sharp tongue and a knack for teasing. She wouldn't be surprised if he had something clever on his mind.

"Well you must have been if you think you'll be able to help me study econ." How hard could it really be? He'd have the damn book in his hands and he'd ask her questions. Or he'd read it to her. Whatever. Sebastian shrugged his shoulders as if it were no big deal at all. But his nonchalant appearance changed quickly as the girl clumsily knocked over her own water... into her own lap. Instincts took over and he jumped a bit, his legs hitting the table and rocking it a bit, but nothing was going to spill on him and he settled back down in his seat just in time to see her stand to reveal her jeans growing darker in the crotch as they absorbed the liquid.
Sebastian simply licked his lips and propped his elbows up on the table and pressed his forehead against his hands, looking down at the table and hiding his expression as he began to snicker. Their first real dinner out where they weren't in some shady restaurant in the midst of a shoot out, and she spills her water on herself. Oh, the things he could say to her if only he could stop chortling quietly. "Go ahead." He heard her say and he looked up to not only see her sour expression but to see a few others who were in the restaurant, including their waitress, looking over at them wondering what happened.
"I know you have something to say. Just get it over with." He tried his best to keep a straight face but the muscles in his face just wouldn't have any of it and he had to clamp his hand over his mouth to hide the giant grin he had even though he knew he wasn't fooling anyone. He was sure she could tell he was smiling like a fool behind his hand. "You know you.." he trailed off and cleared his throat trying to keep his laughter at bay, "..you.." he had to turn his head and look towards the wall at the end of their table, his chest going up and down as he pursed his lips together to try and calm himself down. But he couldn't hide it and he slapped his hand down onto the table and burst into a fit of laughter. Of all the things that could have happened.. he could have hit her, kidnapped her again or brought her somewhere dangerous and it was a glass of water that would ruin her evening.
"If you were so determined to get wet we could have skipped the meal and gone right upstairs," he finally was able to get out but it didn't seem to have the same effect that it should have had. He'd waited too long and that was enough to make his laughter die out leaving him slouching into his seat and heaving a sigh.
"I'm sure I have something in the room you can wear home." Sebastian wasn't one to offer his own clothes but she'd worn them before. Of course the selection was going to be limited since he only grabbed a suitcase full of clothes but he had enough. "I think I might have packed your favorite suspenders too," he smirked at the thought, recalling how she'd worn a pair of his slacks with suspenders that second night she'd been with him.

"You know you......you.." She knew he would laugh and her face was scarlet, growing angrier by the second. It was just her sort of luck that she would do something so stupid in public and of course she had nothing to change in. She hated that cold damp feeling and just wanted to leave so she could get out of her clothes. It didn't help that he was making her feel worse. She had secretly hoped he would be cool with it, but she knew it had been a stupid thought.
She glowered down at the table, the redness spreading to her ears. "If you were so determined to get wet we could have skipped the meal and gone right upstairs," Of course it had been sexual. It took him long enough to say, too. "I'm sure I have something in the room you can wear home. I think I might have packed your favorite suspenders too,"
He'd broken the suspenders and she was reminded of his awful treatment that night. She'd smudged his piano keys and he'd hit her, and when she'd gotten too drunk he'd tried to take advantage of her and the night ended with broken glass in her foot. Of course she only thought the worst of him because she was in a sour mood, but he hadn't helped that.
"It's alright, I wouldn't want to put you out." She grumbled giving him a quick look before looking back down at the table. "Actually, I think I just want to go home." She said honestly, pushing herself out of the booth, wincing at the cold wetness of her pants. "Thanks for dinner." She grumbled again, having hardly touched it and took a step back. "If you want to help me study sometime, just find my window." She didn't bother giving him another look, the night ruined as she turned on her heal and left, hoping he wouldn't bother following. She was sort of pissed at him now anyway and it would only lead to fighting, something she wasn't entirely interested in doing with her ex-captor.

"It's alright, I wouldn't want to put you out." What the hell was she talking about? Alyson had already put Sebastian out. He couldn't go home because she'd gone to the police. She couldn't put him out any more than she already had. "Actually, I think I just want to go home." Now he thought she was overreacting. "There's no use crying over spilled water." He said and rolled his eyes but she was already getting up and backing away. "If you want to help me study sometime, just find my window." Did her mood really have to go so sour so quickly? It wasn't as if she spilled red wine on herself. It was water and it would dry quickly. He rolled his shoulders in a shrug and watched her heading off in her soaked jeans. He didn't feel bad about it in the slightest, it had been her own fault. And he even tried to be nice and offer some dry clothes but she refused so what else was there for him to do? Nothing, that was what. He watched her leave the restaurant entirely and shook his head. "Somebody needs some prozac," he said under his breath and just went back to his dinner. There was no use spoiling a perfectly good meal because she didn't want to sit there and eat with him. He'd see her the next night when he climbed in her window with a bag of booze anyway. END THREAD
