Take out the stories They've put into your mind And brace for the glory As you stare into the sky, the sky Beneath I know you can't be tired Tired didn’t even begin to explain what Penelope felt. Mental and physical exhaustion had overwhelmed her for the past six months on a daily basis. Ever since the bird people had their late leader taken from them all things supernatural were sent into a downward curve. Yeah, maybe everything had gotten better over time but there had been a change. They couldn’t turn back time and go to the way things were before the “magic” tree decided to PMS all over Scriptor Bay. She was struggling to get her life back to the way it was. There was magic out there to help those like her so that even though the skies were no longer black whether it was day or night, she could still go out during the day and experience the sunlight if it pleased her. At least she would if she had one of those damn rings. Lay there Stare at the ceiling And switch back to your time She was obviously crazy. She didn’t want one of those rings! Why would she? Who the hell did she need to see during the day that she couldn’t at night? Okay, maybe her dad and his partner tried hounding her from time to time so that she could go shopping with them now that by the time she woke at sundown most stores were closed thanks to daylight savings time. But other than that was there really any reason at all to have it? Her coworkers definitely thought she was mad. Just go ahead Now try and taste it I know it should be ripe Maybe Penelope was just too stubborn to give the rings a try. Perhaps she just needed the right push to get her interested in them. It was possible another thing holding her back from buying a ring was the price. They weren’t out of her budget but they also weren’t cheap either! She’d rather spend her money online at Amazon buying every freaking color handbag that she could, or just throwing her hard earned money on overpriced booze and heavy mascara. Which was exactly what she was doing right now. Well, not the mascara part. She’d bought that already along with the handbag in her lap on Amazon like a week ago. Turning in circles, been caught in a stasis The cover band that was hired for the night continued to serenade the Gargoyle community with its hard beats and smooth vocals up on the Silent Stone’s stage. She couldn’t deny that she did like their cover of Deftone’s Tempest. She swiveled around in her seat at the bar with her tame looking (but still fruity) cocktail in one hand and her clutch in the other. She thought about going out there and just letting loose.. just go out there and dance! She tried to persuade herself, watching a few of her coworkers out there grinding up to men and women who they wouldn’t be caught dead in the same room with if they were sober. “That’s it.. I’m just going to get up there and dance. Alone. I got this.” She said under her breath, not that anyone could hear her over the guitarist’s solo. Her coworkers sucked so much ass for leaving her alone at the bar. Get over yourself and stand up! She scolded in her head and slid off the stool. She set her clutch down on the stool and her drink on the bar so she could run her hands down her sides to press her dress flat hoping it didn’t bunch up and wrinkle too much from sitting there like a lazy ass for so long sucking back drink after drink. Just as she was about to ask the barkeep - the gay one who always liked to say she had a hot dad - to watch her bag for her, some chick with pink and green colored dreadlocks bumped into her. HARD. Not that she toppled over or anything, but she was peeved. That would have been fine. No harm no foul. Only if she didn’t pick up Penelope’s drink and start to drain it right in front of her like it was harmless. “Are you kidding me?” Penny was having none of that shit tonight!

Sebastian wanted to find any excuse to go and see Aly. He knew that he’d been whipped by the bitch with the cute blonde curls, and though he would never admit it he did find it fascinating. The gargoyle didn’t mind that the human thought she could boss him around and hold her sex over his head to get him to do things for her. Sometimes it worked and sometimes.. sometimes Sebastian just stormed out and didn’t speak to her for a while. He hated admitting how much he cared for her but sometimes it would slip. It would be something small like a stroke of his fingers along her cheek or just the way he’d catch himself watching her at times. Sometimes he would accuse her of being a witch to tricked him into setting her free and doing her bidding with some kind of strong magic. Not that he’d ever accuse her of that to her face. She’d probably throw things and wail like a wounded banshee calling him an insensitive prick. Not that she’d be wrong.
“Come. Let’s have a drink,” Simon told him. And they did. They had several drinks, sitting at the bar of the Silent Stone. He didn’t feel much like talking so the music was a good distraction. He liked live band nights. You never knew what you were going to get but you could rest assured that it would be loud. They chatted about the usual.. politics, who had a higher bounty on their head, who would win a pissing contest..
Sebastian found himself glancing out toward the dance floor every now and then to see who was out there. There were some he recognized and others that he didn’t. There were people out there who despised him and others who wished they were him. The rest? Sebastian knew the rest just flat out wanted him. Who wouldn’t? But even still that didn’t stop his thoughts from going to Aly again. Maybe he could bring her there one night to drink and party.. maybe.. Simon caught his attention again and his eyes snapped back to the other male Gargoyle but only for a second. He noticed a full head of blonde hair that he could see just behind Simon’s left ear and that took away his focus once more. It reminded him of when Aly dressed up for some formal event that he’d long forgotten about. He tried to get a look at the girl’s face when someone squeezed their way into the small space between the girl’s stool and Simon’s to get to the bar. It looked like she was going to bump right into Simon.. and Sebastian wouldn’t mind seeing Simon get a little pissed off.. ”Are you kidding me?” He leaned away from the bar so that he could get a good look around Simon to see the blonde looked like she was going to claw dreadlock’s eyes out. “Nothing like a little cat fight to stir things up,” he remarked giving Simon his attention. In the time it took him to make his little comment something must have happened between the two women because the blonde grabbed the back of the girl with the dreadlocks’ head and was pushing it down towards the bar top.. WHAM! And down dreadlocked barbie went...
Not bad.

Sebastian had become increasingly more dull since the day he moved in. At first things were going remarkably well. They'd been old friends and Simon had always appreciated Sebastian's sick sense of humor. Actually, more than his humor was sick, which was even more of a perk, but the human cunt he chose to spend his time with was annoying at best. Simon himself would have dropped her ages ago, but for whatever reason she had Bastian wrapped around her pretty little pinky. It wasn't her looks, that much Simon could decipher. She was cute, but there were so many others who were cuter, and sexier, and far more beautiful. No, there was something more, something deeper, and it annoyed Simon to no end. Mostly because his mate had been tamed. Simon had no desire to be tamed, especially by a pathetic human teenager.
“Come. Let’s have a drink,” He told his roommate since he knew Aly would be staying in for the night. She was, after all, still taking college courses and it was dead in the middle of final season. Simon secretly hoped the pair would break up again soon so he could take Sebastian out to find a new fuck toy who could replace Aly and who would be ten times less obnoxious. It didn't take much to convince the boy, and in no time the pair were cleaned up and on their way out.
The Silent Stone was pretty packed when they got there. Maybe he'd get lucky and score a lady tonight, or better score Sebastian one. Maybe if he could show his friend what he'd been missing they could finally be rid of Miss Montgomery for good. The night was going well, both having downed several drinks and talking about the usual ridiculous things they enjoyed to discuss, especially when pushing tipsy. "If you don't believe me I'll whip out my dick right here and take a piss. I can shoot ten times further than you, it comes with having a bigger cock." He taunted, but his own laughter died when he realized Sebastian wasn't even paying attention to him. Simon turned to see what his friend was looking at, and immediately caught sight of the blond hair. He openly rolled his eyes, about to tell Sebastian off for fantasizing about Aly when they were out together, when the girls voice caught his attention and he turned to look once more. ”Are you kidding me?” What had he missed? “Nothing like a little cat fight to stir things up,” Simon watched amused as the blond grabbed the girl with the dreadlocks and knocked her out on the bar. "Cheers." He said softly, downing the rest of his drink and getting up.
Simon was both turned on and disgusted by the display. Turned on because it was sexy to watch a woman beat the piss out of another so easily, especially when she seemed so frail, but disgusted because that's not the type of woman he wanted to woo into bed. She could clearly defend herself, which meant she might be tough to tame long enough for him to ram his dick up inside her. Still, she was cute and he was impressed and Simon needed to try and get a little nookie for himself. He was sick of hearing the beds knocking next door. Not that he wasn't getting laid, but he didn't have a blond bitch of his own at beck and call. The man made his way to the blond and move behind her, placing a hand on her arm. "It's best to leave the scene of the crime before they throw you out. Come sit with us, I'll gladly buy you a drink or five if it will help calm your nerves." When she looked at him he offered a half smirk, his lips curling up to the right slightly, a coy look on his face. "What do you say?"

She didn’t know what made her snap so bad. Maybe it was because she wasn’t done with her drink. Or maybe it was that she thought she heard the dreadlock toting skank call her a twat.. whatever it was it made her snap. It wasn’t until the other female’s head was halfway to the counter that she realized what she was doing and her eyes went wide. When the girl crumpled to the ground she stood there in silent awe that she’d just done that.. Penelope wasn’t normally a violent person. She was just clearly having a bad night. She was going to get kicked out of the club. She’d have to get a cab to take her home since her coworkers wouldn’t be ready to go yet. Knowing her luck she might even get a temp ban from the damn dump! Brawls happened all the time but it was usually between lucky jerks who could get away with murder.
Something touched her arm and she jumped, looking up with eyes as big as saucers she was so taken aback. That’s when the smooth voice spoke just loud enough that it was audible over the ruckus the band was making. ”It’s best to leave the scene of the crime before they throw you out. Come sit with us, I’ll gladly buy you a drink or five if it will help calm your nerves.” “Do I look like I need my nerves calmed?” She asked and realized she was being a little harsh. “..sorry..” Penny mumbled under her breath and glanced at the stranger. There was something.. off.. about him. He looked hot but something made her uncomfortable with the way he was looking at her. ”What do you say?” Did he think she was stupid? She wasn’t going to just hang out with a total stranger at a bar where he could slip her a roofie or something! “No I’m fine, thank you.” She stuck her hand out like she was about to tell him to halt. “Now if you’ll excuse me I have some friends waiting for me.” She stepped over the girl’s limp body, careful not to step on her by accident or stumble over one of her limbs. Her goal was to get to the dance floor without saying anything else. But someone else was there to stand in her way.
”If you don’t want to deal with this joker all you have to do is say the word. I’ll sweep you away.” This really wasn’t her night, was it? Now this guy was going to hassle her? She froze when the dark haired stranger’s hand came up toward her face and breathed a quiet sigh of relief when he just touched her hair. She didn’t have a clue what he was going to try to do. Hell, he could have tried to stick his pinky in her mouth for all she knew. ”What do you say we dance?” Her brows furrowed with worry, the tough facade that may have been there when she was smashing the other woman’s face into the counter was completely gone now. Were these guys going to give her a hard time? She dealt with politicians on a regular basis. Lawyers? No problem. But two skeevy men in a gaudy nightclub? That was a different scene entirely and she wasn’t sure how to handle it.
Her head turned and she looked between the two of them almost as if she wasn’t sure which was the lesser of two evils. The blonde gave off a weird vibe but the dark haired man had rapist eyes in her opinion. “Look, I don’t want any trouble.. I’ll just leave. That should solve my little dilemma, right?” She offered a weak little smile but it was obvious she wasn’t too confident.
“I’ll just.. be on my way..” She made a fist with her left hand, expecting to get a better grip on her clutch except all she was grabbing was air. Her clutch was still back on the stool.. the blonde was blocking her way. “Can I just - my purse, please?” Penelope asked and held her hand out toward the blonde male in hopes that he’d be nice enough to give it to her.

Sebastian’s lips curled into a smirk when he saw Simon rise from his seat. Sebastian didn’t want to say that Simon was predictable but it was easy to tell when Simon was on the prowl. He had this certain look in his eye when he was hungry for fresh meat. It wasn’t like Simon wanted to go have a drink because he enjoyed Sebastian’s company. Even he could admit he wasn’t the same wild, beastial Sebastian. So when he saw Simon head over to the mean girl the sarcastic smile spread across his face.
He watched as Simon tried a subtle approach only to be shot down. And Sebastian loved every moment of it. Yes, they were good friends but they were also very competitive with one another. So when Simon failed Sebastian found pleasure where others would not. And although he’d normally just sit there and watch as Simon was shut down he figured maybe he should do something to make up for not quite paying attention to the other gargoyle all night long. When the leggy girl stepped over dreadlock barbie he decided to get up to his feet and head over to see if he could do some damage control.
He moved to stand in the girl’s way before she could head off and leave Simon standing there defeated. With a tilt of his head he gave her his best ‘you can trust me’ smile. He had an idea. “If you don’t want to deal with this joker all you have to do is say the word. I’ll sweep you away.” And with his words he reached up to brush her blonde locks away from her face the way that he did to Alyson when he was flirting his way into her pants. “What do you say we dance?” This was likely to go one of two ways.. if she was easy she’d agree and fling herself right into Sebastian’s arms.
The girl didn’t bite and went on about how she was going to leave. When her back was to him he looked over at Simon and cocked a brow at him expectantly almost as if he was saying ‘are you just going to let her walk away from you?’ with a single look.

"No I'm fine, thank you." Simon's lips grew tighter though he was still smirking at her. Was she really going to deny him? From afar she was pretty, but up close he could truly admire her delicate features. He could already picture the way she'd looked sprawled on his bed, the moans she would utter as he.. "Now if you'll excuse me I have some friends waiting for me." her words pulled him from his little reverie and he rolled his shoulders as though it didn't bother him in the least, though really he was annoyed. Simon didn't appreciate rejection.
Simon watched her turn and start away, and was surprised to see Sebastian there. "If you don't want to deal with this joker all you have to do is say the word. I'll sweep you away." Simon wonderedbriefly is Bastian was actually stepping on his toes, but he knew the boy was too wrapped up in his human to try and get the girl Smon had just attempted to stake his claim on. His friends had slid through the blonds hair and a surge of both jealousy and amusement washed through him. It wasa cheesy move, one sure to turn the girl off. That move only worked on moronic human girls, not intelligent gargoyle women. "What do you say we dance?". Simon faught the urge to laugh, sliding a hand across his mouth to hide his grin. He could tell by her body language that she wasn't interested. Simon tried not to look so amused when her blue eyes darted bck to him. "Look, I don't want any trouble.. I'll just leave. That should solve my little dilemma, right?". It was her lack of confidence that told Simon her heart wasn't in it, that he stood a chance, especially now that Bastian had creeped her out.
"I'll just.. be on my way.." the look in her eye told Simon something was amiss, and he sat patiently and watched. "Can I just - my purse, please?" she held her hand out expectantly and Simon could see Sebastian's little look over the girls shoulder. There were so many things he could do, so many ways this could play out. Simon turned and saw the litte clutch purse and picked it up. He offered it to the blond, but before she could wrap her fingers around it he pulled back a little. "You sure I can't interest you in just one drink?" He asked, holding her puse hostage. If she refused he would gve her the purse and let her be on her way. There were plenty of girls willing to spread their legs for him. Or maybe he would give chase.. there was something satisfying by the hunt, and getting her outside would force her to have to talk with him. Either way, he felt like he'd already won.

Penelope felt a great deal of relief when the blonde man picked up her bag without any problems and held it out for her. All she had to do now was grab it... that’s when he pulled it away like a cruel older sibling with a favorite toy. She pursed her lips into a thin line and looked into the man’s eyes. ”You sure I can’t interest you in just one drink?” Seriously? Was he going to hold her bag hostage unless she sat down and kept them company? After a pregnant pause just standing there staring at him she shifted her weight from one foot to the other. She wore the wrong heels to be standing around in. It was either sit down with them or continue standing there for however long it took for her to get back her clutch.
They were kinda cute... and it was suppose to be a fun night out...
“Fine!” She said sharply and slapped her hands down to her sides. She might as well get a few free drinks out of these weirdos and if they tried anything then she could always just get the attention of one of her coworkers and they’d give her a clean getaway. “Where are we sitting? I want a tequila sunrise if you’re going to buy. And don’t think about slipping me anything because I’ll know. I have friends here..” She just wanted to make sure that she was keeping herself safe.. if he slipped something in her drink she probably wouldn’t know.

Sebastian was going to rub this in Simon’s face later.. maybe not until the next day after the blonde whore left. Because she was going to end up getting into bed with his friend. He’d gloat about how Simon couldn’t do it without his help and then probably end up complaining about how her screams kept him up all night. It would all be in good fun of course. Simon would likely return with his own little antics and explain in great detail every sick position and how she scampered from his sheets when she woke.
When Simon grabbed the girl’s purse he narrowed his eyes a bit at his friend. He wasn’t going to let her get away that easy, was he? But as soon as the girl reached for her possession Simon pulled it back and Sebastian lowered his head to try and hide the satisfied grin that appeared back on his lips. He knew Simon wasn’t going to just let her go like that.
”You sure I can’t interest you in just one drink?”
It was like the blonde was trying to wrap the idea around her pretty little vacant head. He could just imagine what she was trying to think of. Are they rapists? Will they kill me?! She didn’t look as easy as Sebastian thought she would be. Yes, she clearly had an aggressive side but it dropped after she seemed to realize what she did. If it wasn’t for Alyson he might have given it a real go.. made it a competition between him and Simon. ”Fine!” The girl snapped at Simon and he arched a brow up, fascinated that she was giving in so easily. Maybe he was wrong.. she might have been just a stupid slut like the rest of them.

The blond was clearly annoyed but Simon coul care less. She looked between Sebastian ad himself, obviously trying to decide what to do. Finally, with a huff, she let out an annoyed little "Fine!". She slapped her hands down to her sides obviously frustrated to have to enjoy their company. "Where are we sitting? I want a tequila sunrise if you're going to buy. And don't think about slipping me anything because I'll know. " was she serious? "I don't have to slip women pills to get into their pants. Women drop their clothes for me of their own free will." He smirked, "Not that I expect that of you." He lied, "Just lettng you know I don't need to act like an animal to get what I want." And it was true. What fun was a unconcious woman? They didn't scream or moan or beg him to stop, or better, beg him to continue.
"We're sitting just there." He explained to the girl, pointing to the table he and Sebastia had claimed. He turned to his friend and handed him a small wad of cash. "Be a doll and get our drinks." His look said not to deny him since Sebastian owed him for being such a wet blanket lately. Reluctantly his friend did his bidding, Simon trusting that Bastian wouldn't screw it up.
Carrying the girls clutch, Simon joined his new friend at the table, taking a seat close enough so he could touch her, but far enough so he could see her clearly. "I'm Simon." He introduced, "And that over there," He said, nodding at Sebastian at the bar, "Is Sebastian. He has an obnoxious girlfriend, so you don't need to worry about him." His smile said she might have to worry about him, though. "What can I call you, other than beautiful?" He asked, knowing the line was cheesy, but not caring. She would be flattered deep down. All women were.

”I don’t have to slip women pills to get into their pants. Women drop their clothes for me of their own free will.” Was she supposed to be impressed by that? If he was trying to come on to her that was definitely not the way to do it.. ”Not that I expect that of you.” “No of course not,” Penelope shook her head like she was in mutual agreement but her face had ‘are you freaking kidding me I’m not falling for that’ written all over it. ”Just letting you know I don’t need to act like an animal to get what I want.” Great so she was going to have drinks with a proper ape instead of a wild one. Fantastic. She huffed out an exasperated sigh, eyeing the clutch that he was holding hostage, wondering just how long she would have to endure his company before she could be on her way.
”We’re sitting just there.” She followed the direction that he pointed and made the short trek over to the table while he told his friend to go and grab the drinks. She knew that she shouldn’t let the creepy guy go grab her drink without her watching him like a hawk but blondie did say that he wasn’t going to drug her. Then again would you really admit something like that? If you did then you probably didn’t have a very good success rate..
Pulling out a chair Penelope took a seat and crossed her legs, pulling gently at the hem of her dress to make sure it didn’t hike up on her. Blondie wasn’t far behind but she didn’t bother to look at him while he selected his own seat, instead acting like the table held more fascination than he possibly could. ”I’m Simon.” She tried her best to keep looking down at the table except that she’d been raised to have proper manners. She was too old for childish games anyhow. ”And that over there,” Penny turned in her seat to look over to the other male who was leaning against the bar looking like he was watching the dreadlocked woman on the floor who was starting to stir. ”Is Sebastian. He has an obnoxious girlfriend, so you don’t need to worry about him.” Oh, so she didn’t have to worry about Sebastian. So did that mean she had to worry about Simon? ”What can I call you, other than beautiful?”
“Penelope,” she said and tucked a blonde curl behind her right ear hoping it would stay out of her face. She was just like every other stupid girl on the planet.. she found it flattering when she was called beautiful. And like most girls out there with self esteem issues she hardly believed it were true. The music continued to blast but for the most part she was tuning it out so that she could listen to what this guy had to say. Most men who were this good looking didn’t have anything to offer when it came down to having a conversation. She couldn’t deny that she was curious to see just how he planned to woo her. If it was going to be by moves then he was going to be disappointed.. Penny needed more than just a handsome face to keep her satisfied. “Okay you got me to sit down and have a drink with you. What’s your next move? Because it’s obvious you aren’t this persistent so you can talk about your friend’s girl. And I’ll be completely honest with you.. if you’re looking for someone to easily get between the sheets then I’m sure there’s plenty of easy girls here tonight who would be more than willing, like you said. But I’m not that easy.” Okay, maybe Penny could have been a little less negative. She didn’t have to shoot him down so quickly.. hell, she didn’t really even give him much of a chance yet! Maybe she could ease up a bit.. it had been a while since she had someone in her bed after all.. “Okay. Look, I’m sorry. I guess I’m just a little wound up tonight is all.” She tried to do a little damage control with an apology before he turned sour on her before she got her drink and her bag.

“Penelope,” Simon grinned and repeated her name softly, letting it roll off his tongue. He wish he could let more parts of Penelope roll of his tongue other than just her name, but he kept that bit to himself for now. He watched her for a moment, considering his next move as the music blared. He took a peak in Sebastian's direction to see how he was doing with drinks, but it looked like he was still waiting, and from the looks of it, impatiently.
But I’m not that easy.” Simon cocked a brow at her, half liking her rant, half annoyed by it. "Ouch.." He flinched playfully as if the words had stung him. “Okay. Look, I’m sorry. I guess I’m just a little wound up tonight is all.” Simon could see that, and he wondered if maybe she was always this way or if it was because she'd had a rough day and then knocked some bitch at the bar out. She didn't seem the type to go around knocking girls out, so he figured she was probably having a rough time today.
"Relax, Penelope." He said, leaning back in his chair and practicing what he was trying to preach. "Look, if you came off as an easy fuck I would have approached you once you'd loaded yourself with booze and I was ready to leave, not after you knocked barbie out over there." He explained, which was partially true. He didn't expect this to be a complete walk in the park, because half the fun was swaying a girl to come home with him, even if it meant he had to spend a bit on intoxicating her first. "The knockout was the impressive part. Clearly you can hold your own, which is a trait I can respect in a woman, especially in my company." His grin said he didn't often find women who could hold their own around him, but he didn't need to spell it out any more than that. "So what has you so wound up?" His head cocked gently to the side, a brow raising once more, genuinely interested in the answer.

"Relax, Penelope." Okay, so maybe she should take a chill pill and retract the claws.. she was wound up a little too tight even by her own standards. "Look, if you came off as an easy fuck I would have approached you once you'd loaded yourself with booze and I was ready to leave, not after you knocked barbie out over there." Penny couldn't hold back her laughter but she could cover her mouth so that she didn't show him her tonsils while she did it. She had thought of the girl as dreadlock Barbie and Simon actually called her Barbie.
"The knockout was the impressive part. Clearly you can hold your own, which is a trait I can respect in a woman, especially in my company." So she was being way too judge-y.. sure he was an arrogant S-O-B but he didn't see her as an easy target which she was grateful for. As far as holding her own.. she didn't know where she learned to be so tough. Her dad definitely didn't show her.. he was the one who taught her how to make a cardigan work with any outfit, and what color nail polish brought out her eyes the best.. that's what she got for having a gay dad. So her toughness must have come from her mom, who definitely wasn't a push over.
"So what has you so wound up?" Normally she wouldn't open up to someone she didn't know, but the people that she did know she couldn't really tell her problems to. Not this one anyway. "It's just.. me and my co-workers are here tonight celebrating someone's promotion." She dropped her hand down on the table for effect to show how frustrated the situation was. She didn't want to come off sounding whiny so she decided to take the conversation in another direction.
"Have you ever felt that everyone else was going somewhere and you were just.. stuck in place." Her hands grew animated, emphasizing what she was saying with little motions. "I must be going through a mid-life crisis or something. But it's no big deal," she shook her head at him. "Tell me about you. What do you?"

"It's just.." Simon could tell immediately that she was about to drone on and on about something stupid and petty, and he would have no choice but to try and pay attention and make sense of it all even though he would sooner watch paint dry. Women always babbled about the most mundane things. "..me and my co-workers are here tonight celebrating someone's promotion. Have you ever felt that everyone else was going somewhere and you were just.. stuck in place." She was talking animatedly, her hands flailing and he was trying his best to pay attention. Did she want an answer? Did he even have a suitable one? "We all have." It was an obligatory answer, but it would hopefully satisfy her enough to go on. Where the hell was Sebastian with those drinks!?
"I must be going through a mid-life crisis or something. But it's no big deal," He smiled politely, wishing he had more to say. This girl wasn't what he was expecting. Then again, he wasn't sure what he was expecting, and it was too late now. She was his best shot at a one night stand at the moment, "Tell me about you. What do you do?" Ah, now the conversation was his, the spotlight on him. Simon didn't care much to share personal details with the women he intended to be his toy for one night and that's all. He tended to keep things vague, enough to keep them interested, but not enough so they might try and pretend to figure him out. He was a private man who didn't like others dabbling in his personal affairs.
"A bit of this and that." He offered, with that cool smirk of his. "I do favors for others. Nothing illegal, but desk work is tedious and not something I'm interested in. Not to mention I'm a skilled card player." Most women swooned at his bad boy appeal, this sexy, dangerous man. He didn't know how Penelope would sway, though. She might be the type to be turned off by his words, but he could always draw her back in. "It's not important, what's important is that I ran into you." It was another line, but she ate up the last one just fine. "What's the big promotion you didn't get?"

”A bit of this and that.” Was the response that Penelope received when she asked what he did. ”I do favors for others. Nothing illegal, but desk work is tedious and not something I’m interested in. Not to mention I’m a skilled card player.” Wow, vague much? She thought since Simon didn’t actually give her a real answer to what he did. He dabbled a bit here and there was what he was telling her. That was basically just a slick way of saying hey, I’m not planning on telling you because it really doesn’t concern you. She had to try her best not to roll her eyes and scoff at the answer he gave and decided that maybe she made the wrong decision coming over here. Not to mention the spooky guy was taking a long time getting their drinks.
”It’s not important, what’s important is that I ran into you.” That was SUCH a line! Penelope’s brows arched up and she nodded her head as if she was agreeing with him but it was obvious she wasn’t buying it. “Yep. That’s what’s important,” she commented even though she was bullshitting him right back. ”What’s the big promotion you didn’t get?” Did she want to even waste her breath explaining her career choices to him or was that just going to go in one ear and out the other? He looked like he was listening and interested enough but if she knew men they’d act any which way they thought you’d like if that got you to sleep with them.

Meanwhile at the bar Sebastian watched the woman with the dreadlocks get up, puffing her chest out like she was some kind of aggressive bird. Was it birds that stuck their chests out and walked in circles? Either way Sebastian didn’t look even the slightest bit interested. The only reason he was watching was so he could see if she was going to put two and two together or if she was just going to run off into the crowd blindly looking for the hot little blonde that Simon was trying to seduce. After a very long minute the girl with the dreads decided to just take a seat at the bar and order herself a drink. It wasn’t until she settled down that Sebastian noticed the bartender had already left the three drinks in front of him. He scooped them up between his hands, carefully placing fingers between each glass so that they wouldn’t slip out of his grip as he headed back over to their table.

“It was just a bit of this and that,” she didn’t want to talk about the promotion that her coworker got (even though she believed that it was rightfully hers) but instead gave him the same vague response. Even though she was mocking his answer she couldn’t stop herself from smiling at how silly she sounded. “Really though, it’s nothing important. It’s not like I’m Robert Snow’s assistant or anything. That would be huge.”
Her eyes darted to the creep who Simon had called Sebastian, watching him carefully as he set her drink down in front of her. Hesitantly she picked it up and placed the cold glass to her lips to take a sip. Although there was more tequila than juice she didn’t taste anything that could potentially drug her. If they were going to drug her she was sure that they weren’t going to give her something that tasted like drugs. That would be really dumb.
She didn’t want to just drone on and lose their attention.. if she had to suffer their company then she wanted to at least make it entertaining! Not to mention sitting there babbling back and forth wasn’t much fun for her either when Simon didn’t seem like the sort that was going to give her a lot of information. “Okay, I have a little game. I don’t want to sit here yapping away while you two just watch me. It’s hard but fun..” Penelope looked at them both, wondering if they were going to be cooperative or not but after a short hesitation she could see they both looked like willing contestants. “Okay, good! I’ll be right back,” She stood up from her seat, scooped up her drink and took a quick gulp, set it down and then headed toward the bar. She could see the girl with the dreadlocks sitting at one end so she chose the other end of the bar so that she wouldn’t get sucked into an altercation. It was going to take some finessing on her part surely, but after a bit of flirting and winks she managed to get three shot glasses and an entire bottle of tequila which she brought back to the table. She set down the three shot glasses, uncapping the tequila and filling each glass to the brim before dispersing them between the three of them.
“The game is truth or drink. We’re going to go around the table and when it’s your turn then you say something about you. It can be the truth or it can be total bull, but we have to try and figure out if it is true or not. If we’re wrong we drink a shot but if we’re right then you drink a shot. Deal?” This should be entertaining enough and it would get her enough to drink to not really care anymore. And lucky for her she wasn’t going to be paying for any of this alcohol. She put it on Simon’s tab with the bartender.

“It was just a bit of this and that,” Simon could tell she was teasing him and he cocked a brow at her. He didn't like to be mocked but he would let it slide since she didn't know him yet. “Really though, it’s nothing important. It’s not like I’m Robert Snow’s assistant or anything. That would be huge.” He supposed it would be. Robert's assistant was a hot little piece, and a huge cunt. He'd met her once and she wasn't someone he would even try to get with. Not even Simon had that much patience. "You'd probably do well as his assistant, though I can't imagine that's a pleasant job." He offered as Bastian finally came back with the drinks. He eyed his friend as if to tell him about damn time before grabbing his drink and taking a deep sip from it.
“Okay, I have a little game. I don’t want to sit here yapping away while you two just watch me. It’s hard but fun..” Simon wasn't thrilled about this idea and he looked to his friend to see if he was game. Of course the raven haired man wouldn't care so Simon gave a little nod as if to say he'd play. “Okay, good! I’ll be right back,” Simon's brows furrowed and he watched the girl run off towards the bar. She wouldn't leave, he still had her clutch, but while she was gone he turned to Sebastian. "They distill the liquor right there for you?" He taunted, clearly annoyed with the wait, but leaned back, looking again at the blond, checking out her ass. "This one talks too much." He said in a sulking tone with a sigh. "I've been hanging around you too long if I'm trying to pick up obnoxious, chatty blonds." It was another taunt but this time his lips curled as he looked at Sebastian, wondering if he would say something back.
Penelope returned shortly with a bottle of tequila and three shot glasses. He looked at the cups and then the girl who'd delivered them. She filled each glass in turn and slid them in front of the boys, placing the last in front of herself. “The game is truth or drink. We’re going to go around the table and when it’s your turn then you say something about you. It can be the truth or it can be total bull, but we have to try and figure out if it is true or not. If we’re wrong we drink a shot but if we’re right then you drink a shot. Deal?” Simon thought it over a moment, wondering if it were a trick of some sort, but decided to go for it anyway. He could quit any time he liked, and he wasn't a pussy. "Deal." He said, waiting for Sebastian to agree before going on. "I'll go first." He cleared his throat. "I once won a yacht in a hand of poker." It wasn't true, but he had won a boat once. It was a piece of shit boat that was falling apart, and ended up costing him more than he bargained for, but he'd still won it. "Truth or drink?"
